I will give you the use of the room, I have asked what they will do with my room when I move out and it seems it will be nothing as such will just be a spare bedroom for visits (or when my brother and his other half fall out... again), with that there is no immediate plans to downsize once I am out, but yes I can see some in my situation maybe blocking such things, but I am not.
Up until now I have been paying for my education + car + many years rip off car insurance + chasing women (thank god I found the right one eventually) and yes some other consumables to keep me entertained over the years but overall I haven't wasted a great amount. In short a built up debts when normal living was more than I was earning and paid it back once my education started paying back and I was earning more than needed for a normal life. I will add I have never owned a single product made by apple.
My parents have gained things while I have lived here, they get free internet access aswell as free tech support (they are always breaking/crashing computers) aswell as getting them cheaper deals on banking/insurance/utilities as I have been sorting all this for them for many years. I am actually there financial advisor and take care of most of the finances for them.
Only joshing with you Percy. Not really having a dig at you, but just pointing out in general that some things are overlooked.
An example being a lady I work with who doesn't earn much in her admin job. Her daughter earns more, mum is on an interest only mortgage struggling with money. Yet daughter pays only share of bills and nothing towards mortgage. As interest only it is little better than rent if house prices are static or dropping. Daughter in that situation is blatantly extracting the urine. Yet as you say, mum is happy to help. However that help is getting splurged on nights out and holidays.0 -
By all means If my parents where struggling I would certainly help more, as it is its quite the opposite and the 'profit' they make out of me basically upgrades there holiday every year.
It is an interesting point as what should people pay, in my case I can afford to give them more of course but they just won't take it as they want whats best for me which is to save and buy a house with my fiancee.
I suppose there is cases of children (or parents) abusing the finances of the other but if you have a situation where all involved benefit and are happy then there really is no problem. (Well apart from it upsets reweird, but I can live with that).Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Not sure why this thread is still here, after all, if the HPC it's about is HPC .co.uk, then some of you need to dyor.

Well said. This is precisely what everyone has been trying to explain to him and others shirking their responsibilities and living out of their parents pockets. To the good rightminded of us it is utterly shameful that someone approaching 30 leeches off their parents.
You dont half make yourself look a complete and utter t*t you know.
You say stuff and everything else is just noise i take it.
What happened to make you this way, was it something that you would rather not talk about, if so i apologise for bringing the incident up.0 -
HPC down going again to resolve 'hosting issues'. Seems to be happening more and more often now.0

Yes. Clearly theres no way you've just contributed an epic extended monologue to the "pointless argument".
I can only imagine that your life is so full and joyful that you simply don't have to. :rotfl:chucknorris wrote: »A first class honours degree is not trumped by a masters degree, a masters degree isn't difficult to obtain (although you seem to think so, why did you struggle?). Oh, it is quite impressive.chucknorris wrote: »How exactly does your chartered status trump mine?
That wasn't the funny part. The funny part was you trotting out your "Chartership" only to find that I have one too.chucknorris wrote: »You haven't even said what you are chartered in (and what your profession is, if that differs)
Oh take a guess chuck.
You're a building surveyor right? I have to say, I do reckon that mines does indeed trump the old RICS badge.chucknorris wrote: »
Why must I have lost the plot, I regularly play chess, is chess too cultured for you?
Right you are Chuck. Repetatively accusing someone of trying to divert the discussions whilst simultaneously banging on about your uni qualifications, professional qualifications, and finally randomly challenging me to a game of online chess is totally stable and reasonable.chucknorris wrote: »
Like I said you are a fool, although you do seem happy to be our resident clown and keep us amused so I suppose you do have some use.
Chuck. You may be many things. But amused at my contributions you certainly are not.
