Had not realised you could trade in books too - sounds good.

Anyone know of any other sites to try and sell books. They dont seem to sell on ebay:(

Vixen - Some people have had success with Green Metropolis, might be worth you looking into :A

I'm sure there's another one... but I can't remember it ... one of our resident Oracles might be able to help when they next come online :)

(and the amount of still brand new, with tags, size 12 jeans I've got piled up in the bottom of my wardrobe as my 'reason to diet' will be listed shortly, there must be about £200 in there! from around 5 years ago....and I'm still a size 18 :rotfl:)

Glad I'm not the only one!! :D

A tip for those who use eBay and dont use a turbo lister for whatever reason (I just dont get on with it personally) you may find it less daunting to break up the chore of listing into three parts (I normally do them over a week, depending on when I'm going to start listing) Take all the photos in one 'session', in another, write all the descriptions (I just save mine into a word document on my desktop) and then finally sit down and do the listing, all youv'e got to do then is write a title, paste the description and upload your picture, which you can pretty much do on autopilot in front of the tv!

An even better tip ;) which saves even more time as you're not worrying about copy and pasting from Word etc, is to go through the listing as normal, do your title, add pictures, write description, starting price, p&p etc - everything basically. But then near where you put the starting price and duration, there is a little option where you can tick a box to schedule the listing. Tick this (as opposed to 'Start immediately' which is pre selected) and select a time AFTER when you actually want it to start.
    This option costs 6p.

BUT - now you don't think I'm going to tell you to waste 6p now do you :rotfl::rotfl:
What you do is when you actually want it to start, go to your 'Scheduled Listings' section (on My Ebay, where you would click on Selling / Sold / Unsold etc in the menu) and click on the listing title which will bring it up, but tell you the listing is not yet live. Click 'Revise your item' and change it back to 'Start immediately' rather than the scheduled time. This will start it immediately and cancel the 6p. :T

Just don't forget to start them earlier than the scheduled time to save those precious 6ps!

I know I've said this a lot before, so sorry for rambling, but obviously there are a lot of new people here this month so hopefully this will help those who haven't heard the tip before!

    Evening all :hello:

I'm back from my weekend away, had a lovely time with the family and now I'm back to reality with a bang.. work tomo, bleugh. :(

I've added the newbies to post two, welcome :D

Some more buyers have paid on eBay over the weekend so got £60.91 in there now, I would have more but thanks to royal mail battering about a parcel I sent a few weeks ago I've had to refund someone £10.25 :( sniff.

Will be counting my little stash when I go up to bed in a bit and will add that too ;-)

Fairy, I've voted for you by the way. Good for you taking the plunge and doing something different, wish I had the guts to do that.
