Grr one of my items sold on ebay has gone missing! I have obtained proof of postage so what do I do next?????

The post office usually will not allow you to start to process a claim for 14 days from original posting. Depending on how long ago the item was posted depends on what you do. If it was fairly recently I would message your buyer and ask them to hold out for a few more days and also advise them to contact their local parcel collection office to see if it is there and the postie simply forgot to put a parcel card through the door.

If it still does not show up then you will need to refund your buyer the total cost of sale / postage (as they will open a paypal claim otherwise and get a refund that way and I have found in the past it is better to keep in contact with the buyer and keep them sweet!).

You can claim your money back from the post office if you have your proof of posting after 14 days. Pop in and they will give you a form to fill in and send. If you are a private seller (ie not a business), include a print off of the ebay sale and include this with your form as this is proof of what your item is worth. I can't remember off the top of my head what value you are covered for with regular postage - but think it is around the 40.00 mark. It can take a bit of time to get it back though, but it should come through eventually.

Also to add.........I saved the grand total of 50p yesterday lol!! So I am off the zero mark. I have done a fair few ebay listings so hope that that will help me play catchup next week. Saving 3.00 thurs and fri as taking my own lunch into work. Joined mysurvey as not in that one, but obviously that will take time to build up - but little acorns and all that!! Gutted as I seemed to have missed the chance to try with pinecone - went to the clue very kindly given by Aessop (thanks x) but it was late last night and the link took me to the pinecone homepage and I could not see any sign up options so figured I missed it! Will keep an eye out for it coming up again.

Off work today so better get proactive and do a bit more clearing out and ebay listing.

keep an eye on grabbit and freebies thread, type in pinecone on forum search and try that way. Sometimes people get referral emails so they can refer you.

    sorry you missed out.

Gonna watch this with a view to starting in Dec - seems impossible to me!!

definitely not impossible! If you read the previous threads and see how much people have declared at the end of each month, you will see money can be made, just takes a bit of imagination.

Purpleroses cleared all her debts using this challenge. Last November, she had been doing it for 4 years. She still does this challenge now, just a lot busier at work, so doesn't post as much.

    Never say never :)

That is exactly what I thought -but then decided to join this month and give it a go - you cant loose anything.

As it only the 2nd why not join and view at the same time - you might surprise yourself
Typically confused and asking for advice
