Joined for the first time this morning - but not really sure what to do lol

Saved £2 off washing powder this morning - bought in town against price I normally pay in Tesco. Also found a few other items cheaper by looking around instead of buying in the first shop.

I can add the total amount up later - but just wondering - and this might sound daft - but is the idea to then put the monies saved into a savings account?

Saved on parking fees £2.10 - found a free parking space - but should I take this out of my purse as if I spent it? Have I got this right?

Also could someone tell me how you do the signature thingy at the bottom of your posts

Hi Vixen - to edit a signature, look for the "User CP" link in the green banner next to the "we run the MSE forum" picture and click on User CP. then click on Edit Signature in the left margin. It opens up a box similar to the one that you use to create and preview a post. Once happy with it, click the "save signature" button. That's it!

I have just cashed in 1000 spud points for a £10 voucher, but won't count it until received.

    Happy hunting folks!

    Hi and welcome vixen

the way I play it, is this, if I save money on shopping, I would take that money out of my purse and make a payment to a bill/creditor/nursery, or put into a savings account. You want to see the money making a difference somewhere, or if you have a holiday booked like some, you may put that money towards paying it off, etc.

For your signature, goto the green tool bar at the top, click on quick links, look for edit signature. Make your signature and don't forget to click on save at the bottom, :) hey presto, one signature.

If you join the McCains (chips etc) website, you can earn "spud points" for a survey, playing games and printing recipies. You can then cash in points for vouchers. 1000 points = £10.

Bit slow, but it all helps!

Well Day 1 went rather well - I managed to find £46.23 in change in drawers around the house! I won't manage that again for a few years I suspect.
