It depends how full you fill your plates i suppose.

I would probably have 3/4 plates, but i would only ever put a small portion on at any time, i would rather have smaller portions with warmer food and without having to pile things up just to suit them!

Since when has it been limited? I have never seen anyone go to an 'all you can eat' buffet and then been told they have to stop.

So it isn't all you can eat, is it.

    Scam (apparantly).

Why I am having to defend myself when all I did was show an example of some very obvious false advertising?!

No, 'all you can eat' restaurants are not a scam. Everyone knows that you can't keep coming back every day. But you can eat all you want or can in the time you're there. It is not a scam. They're not calling it 'all you can eat ever'.

The example I showed was very different and whether or not you can call it a scam is debatable (since the details were in the t's and c's) it is certainly highly misleading.

Reminds me when a group of us from work went for a lunchtime buffet which included as much free wine as you wanted during your meal. As the girl described to us, it is a "bottomless glass". Alas she failed to mention that as soon as any member of the party goes up for a dessert then everyone's bottomless glass suddenly has a bottom and no more wine!

I can see why they would want to avoid the situation where people drink wine all afternoon when they've all but finished eating. But it would have been nice if the precise rule had been made clear to us, although from a purely commercial perspective, it's obvious why she didn't.
  • There may be a loophole here!....Does it state anyware that Carrier bags can't be used?....Or bin liners....
  • Sounds like a rip to me, I wouldn't eat there.

Consider this thread like an 'all you can eat' buffet, the trolls are getting their fill.

Surely no buffet is truly "all you can eat"? If I pop down to the local Chinese, they aren't going to let me sit there for the next 40 years for a tenner.

If I ever find an all-you-can-eat that's open 24hrs a day, I'll move in there, use the lemon-scented towelettes instead of showering, and save a fortune on my mortgage :D
