Morning All
Just a quicky during morning break at work, yes we start early.
catowen - take a blanket to put on your car roof first so that you don't scratch it with the panels.
Seroxat_chick how awful, I would call up the hospital today and get through to your consultants secretary, and talk nice to her, and say you would like to talk to him, get upset if that is how you feel (sure you do) but he needs to know now what has happened, the others will skim over it.
Re the bullying happened to our DS but when one of them was trapping him in a corner thumping him, he had a tennis racket in his hand (tennis nut) so used it appropriately, when the school tried to discipline him for it, they were told very clearly that if they had been doing their job and not letting him be bullied he would not have had to use appropriate action, asked what they would do if in a corner being thumped! Strange the guy didnt come back for more!
Birthday greetings aussielass.
Hugs and thoughts to all not feeling themselves.

:bdaycake: :bdaycake: Happy Birthday AussieLass!!!
Hope you've had a good day, and been suitably indulged.
Brrrr it's cold here today, there were snowflakes in the air when I came back from the gym, but it's got no chance of settling at the moment. Just finished a lovely warming bowl of porridge. Going to do moggins challenge today, should manage that this morning before this afternoon's outing.
No idea what to do for dinner tonight. As it's so cold fancy something stew-like but will need to defrost the meat quickly so it can have a nice long cook. Mmmm lots of veg and thick gravy.:D
Got to go to the bank today to pay money in, now there's a novelty:rotfl: :rotfl:
Glad you're feeling a bit better Snowy, just take it easy, these things really knock you back. Even when you think you've recovered your energy reserves are very depleted, and it's easy to get overtired.
Well must get on, ((((((hugs)))))) to all who want them.
Take care, CMxxYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Hi Yall, bitterly cold here in the emids today. As I trudged back from school, away fro the village and into open conutryside I thought my face would freeze solid, by the time I got to our lane I couldn't feel anything or move my mouth LOL. I've defrosted myself in the stream from my coffee mug so alls ok now!
Just sorting out a few finances and noticed that I have two mortgage protection policies with the same company. On further examination they are duplicates and I'm paying twice:eek: and have been for two years:eek: . Cue a very terse phone call to my IFA where we had an 'exchange' he claims he told me to cancel one of them but I know he never did and I had queried these two policies before with him. If he wasn't married to a friend of ours and and we weren't all memebers of the same church I wouldn't have been as civil as I was about it. Needless to say he won't be getting anymore of my business! and DD swiftly cancelled this morning. I shall think of other things now becasue I can feel the bile starting to rise again:D
Mini MATHLETT is having a friend round for tea so something junky that a non OS kid will eat, me thinks - so not too much trouble there.
Well, I'd better crack on, I'm gonna have to paid2click like the wind if I'm to make up the shortfall that needless DD had cost me...grrrrrrrr!
Happy Birthday Ausie
Hope you get the school thing sorted - Queenie
Question: Does anyone else on the OS board think PennyPincher is adicted to Shepherd's Pie? I getting concerned at the number of portions she is getting through in a week:eek: Is there a twelve-step programme to help her?Could we slowly wean her off it by introducing alternate 'fixes' of Cottage Pie instead or maybe slap on a 'mince n mash patch' if the make them??????:rotfl: Hugs PP hope your feeling better today

Good morning everyone, quick update from the jellycat household.
OH doing ok, DD3 is telling us that she is being bullied at school but I am not sure whether to take it seriously as she has a habit of saying stuff that turns out to be not quite true. Any suggestions anyone as to what I should do? I am not thinking right straight at the mo.
I have a large pile of ironing that needs doing so I am off to do that in a bit. Then I have to do some of the home admin stuff I am being paid for!!! Not done any since last Tuesday! Tomorrow I start my new cleaning job, feel a bit nervous but how difficult can a bit of cleaning be?
Mushroom soup on the go at the moment as I got 6lbs of mushrooms at the end of last week and need to do something with the last of them. Mushroom curry tonight for me and OH and mushroom risotto for DD1 who is at Weight Watchers (not sure why)!
Love and hugs to all

So many bullying issues around at the minute, how awful for you all.
I would go staight into school and voice your concerns.
Saying that i did this when ds1 has `happy slapped` in full view of myself and other parents ( to far away in the playgrounf for me to get to him to stop the hitting, and if a parent hadnt have held me back i would have arhhhhhhhhhhh)
I went straight in and saw head, who got all kids involved in office and made my son in front of the bullys tell what had happened. I was fuming hence reason i resigned from govenors, head said it had been delt with and bullying doesnt happen in her school!!
The kids are only at the same school due to the bullys leaving for secondary a few weeks later and the other staff being wonderfulProud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -

Nice little bit of doah in the bak account this morning from a mystery shop, so transferred into my holiday account, which now stands at £190 have to pay the balance in March of £163 so a bit towards my spends.
A few years ago when we had an open fire I invested in a Grenadier to light the fire with, this is a thing that looks like a large hairdrier on a stand, it will light a fire from cold in about 5 minutes, its been on the shelf in the garage for 6 years:eek:   , key missing, I phoned yesterday and they are sending me a new key, costs £10:eek:  so I am going to put it on e bay, need to put a reserve on it to at least get something back for the key, which has just arrived in the post, good service at least.
Right off to have a:coffee: earl grey and sort out tonights supper...........
See ya'll later....................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
