Evening everyone
Seroxat Chick I am flabbergasted that your treatment could be so totally cr*p. I wish I could be there to hold your hand
Lil-me thanks for the website. It looks like I may be needing to write my own CV pretty soonI don't wanna go back to work! (moggins stamps her feet here like a two year old)
Bargain RZL you have inspired me. My bike has been sat waiting for me for nearly 3 years ever since I bought it with my last weeks wages from Wilkinsons. I have attempted to ride it once and when I wobbled on my first attempt I never rode it again. Which is strange as when I lived in Germany I cycled into town nearly every day. I am going to get back on it and try again. I keep saying that only having one boob has affected my balanceOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hysterectomy - I did it about 8 years ago. Early (and not recommended but glad I did it as DH had the snips so didn't have children issues) and still on HRT now but DH had to put up with me in bed for 3 days or if we were out anywhere he actually had to carry me home the pain was so bad when having periods. The bleeding was also horrendous and looking back I don't know how I got through it. I was so scared with op but they were fab. You just have to remember to be sooooooooo careful for the weeks following. GP wanted me to go back after 6 weeks but consultant said min 12 weeks as i have to lift stuff. If I had to go back too soon it might have meant more surgery. Stick to your guns!!

I would love to have a hysterectomy - i have dreadful monthlies and dont want any more children, but im not allowed any unnecessary operations (due to my ITP), and my consultant doesnt think im bad enough to be so extreme!!!!0

Hello Everyone,
Just got in. What a day, I didn't get my half day, as my Company announced changes to our pension plan today. Guess who I work for!!!
Anyway, after doing the reading at 5:30, I'm knackered now. I'll just chill out with a cup of tea and enjoy reading the thread for today.
It's so nice to have you guys to come home to, it's like an extended family.

I won't be allowed to take HRT
And as it's only 2 years ago that DH had the snip he wouldn't be too happy if I took myself off for a hysterectomy
The thought is tempting though. I've never been as heavy as this or had so much pain!
I guess I am paying now as I was always the lucky one who sailed through periods with no cramps, pmt or anything.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Obviously a man, wish at times these people who have easy periods and/or are male had a month or two of it.
I ended up on a low dose pill even after being sterilized to enable me to work(fortunately a female doctor who understood), didn't have to go on HRT immediately as kept ovaries.Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -

After the hospital, we went cooker shopping, as the oven is now beyond repair. To cut a long story short, we've decided to make do with using just the hob for the time being
I have used a hob, SC and a Oven/Grill combination Microwave for years by choice, had an overn fitted now, but DH and DS use it I carry on as before, they have them in ALDI at the moment at £64.99. Don't know if this may be an option for you, nice Stainless Steel one. Went in tonight and saw them and remembered your post.Member #8 of the SKI-ers Club

I have the pill injections, haven't had a monthly since I started on them, has saved me a fortune, didn't put on any (more) weight when I started on it either.
I am one of those cases you may have heard about on the news who has liver damage caused by the tablet form pill (my notes have travelled further than me for research into it) adenomas thankfully not adenocarcinoma as they first thought I had. I was put on it to reduce how bad I was every month, aswell as for the contraceptive which didn't work (fell pregnant twice on it)
GB- We've been there, my son wanted to go to the sealife centre there, he was looking over part of the bridge into the water and his first ever pair of glasses he'd had for 3 days fell in the water :rotfl:One day I might be more organised...........
