Thank you Pyxis, just in time for me.  :D  Absolute brilliant breeze this morning, temp is way down, so pleased that the forecast was spot on. I am  Only now I will have to give the furball a haircut and vacuum. 😂 I might even make scones today, to go with those lovely strawberries.

Thanks for that Squirrelgirl. If I ever do get any jackfruit, will be back on here to be reminded, as I will forget. Never even thought to make gnocchi from sweet potatoes, thank you again.
I make a big batch with normal potatoes and freeze, as they are a bit of a faff, only because I stuff them with cubes of cheese. Last time I made them, albeit not a lot, to try it out, I grated cheese in to save me all the bother - don't do it! They fell apart when boiling. Big fail!

The breeze here this morning turned into a full blown very strong wind. It's very welcome and have had a great day getting on with things. Couldn't strim the dog, as the hair would have gone everywhere. However, did a good bit of cooking for the freezer. Completely forgot that I wanted to do scones whilst the oven was on, am an absolute idiot! However, couple of large caramelised onion and cheese tarts, couple of large quiches, load of tomato sauce, already portioned and in the freezer, and a huge pot of spicy bolognese sauce, still to be portioned which can do for all sorts. Had to do another coleslaw, as had given what I had left to a friend yesterday. Made some cheese and olive bread, but that was in the bread maker, so not much work involved there. Feeling really happy that I have actually managed to do stuff today, after days of inactivity.
I did laugh though as my ceiling light fans were whirling round, powered totally by the wind in the upstairs bedrooms earlier, and they weren't needed. When they are needed, I have to pay for the electricity.  No justice in this world!

    That sounds intriguing!
Have you got your own personal wind farm in your upstairs bedrooms, or just a draughty ceiling? 😂

Today I finished washing/and quarantining the many veg and fruit that arrived yesterday, but it took most of the day off and on, so, exhausted, I couldn’t face cooking, and so ’ve just had a ready meal from the freezer.
    Please don’t beat me!

In my defence, I did cook some sad looking rhubarb to have with a crumble tomorrow, and some asparagus stalks at lunchtime to have with the very last of my mega veg stew that I made earlier in the week.

Oh Pyxis, you did make me laugh there. No intrigue. Opposite windows opened, with quite a bit of wind, wish I did have a little wind farm or some solar thing going on to harness sun/wind to save on electricity, which is expensive, as only one supplier and no competition, but no idea of price in UK to make a comparison. I just know that when we moved here, over 10 years ago, electricity was way higher per unit than UK. Gas is also expensive, as it's bottled. I have central heating, but it's too expensive to use during winter, due to the price of gas, so use air conditioner as heating, works out cheaper than using gas.

Certainly not going to beat you up on being exhausted after all you did today. Why should you? Easy meals are just there for that purpose. We all do it, that's what the freezer is for, whether it's home made or shop bought.

I'm having my sea spinach and some sea purslane sauted together @Pyxis :) I have discovered that the village shop, which is generally pretty hopeless for veg is selling asparagus (not organic) for £2 a bunch, so will be visiting regularly!

Oh yes! I forgot I put some of the purslane into my old stew lunch as well!

I was so pleased to get it!

I’ve not thought of sautéing it in butter..what a good idea! I shall do that tomorrow, especially as it doesn’t keep all that well.

I got the idea from @redofromstart :) The sea spinach and sea purslane together are really good (and the fish and fennel were nice too). I have more sea purslane left, so need to see how I work it in to the weekend's meals.
