If the OP had received a cheque for £50 for a competition he believes he had not entered I wonder whether he would still be upset.

Im a member of a couple of swap groups on facebook, and last night something was posted on one of them and i can see where compers get the nickname 'vultures' from, this win was won within 20 minutes it was on one of the groups, a nice item to win aswell, sorry but why enter a competition for a nice prize and within 20 minutes its on a swap group.:mad:0 -
Maybe, vwcampervan, they entered hoping to win a different prize from a competition.
Or maybe they didn't even enter like the OP.0 -

Each to their own and if that's not what you like to do then no-one forces you.
I personally use the swap groups to swap for presents suitable for christmas. I had a win turn up yesterday morning that won't be of use to me anymore. It would have been if it had been delivered when the comp ended. I added it to a swap group in the hope I can help someone for christmas in these hard times and get something in return I can use.
Maybe you shouldn't interact with these so called 'vultures' if it offends you so much0 -
