Hello, I'm saving £1 and £2's at the mo, I've always found this a good way of saving money and I'm at it again as in serious financial strife at the moment! Just looked in my tin and I've saved £75 so far. Going to have to bank it Monday as my car payment's due, grrr!0

Just to say that I cracked open my terramundi last week. I'd been saving £2 coins in it for three years and was pleased to find £900 in there!! We really did cram them in until there was no more room, I was expecting to find about £750 so it was an extra nice surprise. Don't think the bank will be too pleased with me walking in with £900 in £2 coins though, may have to do it in batches!0

I have a Terramundi pot which I put all my £2 coins in. The previous one I had collected £500 (and that was with 50p's as well!) in two years. I'm obviously hoping for more than that, but over a longer time, so I'm ear-marking it for a special birthday present for my 40th birthday (3 years time!); a night in the Witchery in Edinburgh0

I got one of those tins you cant get into it, it says millionaire starter fund on it. All my £2 coins go in there and I cant get them out so stops temptation to spend them, think i have about £40 now. My daughter is hoping for a holiday out of it when its full.
I also save 1s 2s and 5s in one of those large whisky bottles. Historically they went on the amusements at the seaside but my kids are a bit old for that now so we bank them when we want a day out nowBankrupt 15/04/09 Discharged 28/10/09
