OH and I were given £52 each in £2 coins for Xmas from my Mum. OH doesn't believe in saving/collecting and wants to cash them all in for a 32" LCD TV. Not mine he isn't!

Do we zero our scores for the new year?

That's what I was planning to do. I'd be interested to see how much I can save in £2 coins in a full year as I only started in October this year.

Will there be a new thread for 2008?

Would love to join in. Me and hubby are saving ours and hoping to "treat" ourselves to a new TV. :D

Only just found this thread after being a regular on the original!! :o

I've carried on saving though and so far I've paid for a holiday to Kefalonia & half the cost of block paving our drive. :D

At the end of 2007 my total is £248 unless OH gets one in his change at the newsagents tomorrow.

I would never have done this without the idea from MSE so long may the thread continue.

    Good Luck for 2008!!!

Last minute spurt after a visit to a couple of local shops for veg etc for tomorrows dinner.

£200 already banked and £60 in the pot to be banked on Wednesday!!

    £260!!!! Yippee!! :j

Putting this towards our new settee and carpet fund!

As our credit rating is pants we have to save now for anything we want.
(Which is no bad thing as we won't get into debt again!)
