  • Well I had to spend my £2's at the begining of December (Hated having to!!).
Anyhow I want to start afresh from 1/1/08 for a full year of the challenge. Thing is there seems to be a lot of £2's around at the minute when I'm not trying to save them and also when I can't really afford to save them BUT I have been stashing them in a separate purse and will put them into my savings jar on 1/1/08!! A bit of a jump start you could call it as I have gathered £32 in about 2 weeks! A lot of them seem to be 2007 release which maybe explains why there might be more about.

All I have to do now is decide what I am going to use them towards - think it will be a mortgage overpayment!
  • Well I have just opened my tin and I have £312 worth of the little beauties:j :j  Some will be used to go towards my first ever digital camera, some towards timber to make raised beds for my allotment and the rest split between overpaying the mortgage and rainy day savings. Look out for a veritable flock being released into Warwickshire tomorrow.....:rotfl:

    Well done, BellsBells! :T
I can't keep mine that long, need to bank them every £20 but have opened one of those ICICI accounts so I get 6.41% interest on them in 2008 :)

Friend called and said 'save a tenner' cos they have acquired 5 x £2 coin s in change since I last saw them... wonder if I could sell them something rather than exchange for their coins? :rotfl:

    Hi everyone,

Just popped across from the Grocery Challenge forum! Have been collecting £2 for a couple of months and today (after buying my son's programme at Plymouth Argyle V Stoke) I achieved our target of £50!:j The downside is that I have to pay them into the bank so that they earn me interest!! The upside is that I can start collecting again, oh, and Argyle got a draw in an action packed match!!

Keep up the good work and good luck with those £2!!!

    Regards,

happy116.gifThe final run in to New Year and I got 5 x £2 coins today!! That'll be it for this year as my 2007 budget is gone, other than the milk money LOL But I'll certainly be continuing with this in 2008. Do we zero our scores for the new year?
