Don't forget about the tax to pay - or am I wrong - I thought that you had to pay import duty on items >£17 ish
If this is the case you would be absolutely stung on this baby - still here's hoping I am wrong!

Quidco is currently tracking at 4% for play.com (even though on the quidco site it says only 2%). That makes it £21.60 off.

And the Vista upgrade is included:

    Hi,

Just bought one, seems like a great deal. Just wondering where exactly it say that a vista upgrade is included.........I can't see that anywhere!

    Thanks.

I couldn't find any mention of the warranty on the website. Any info on the warranty ? Are Gateway laptops generally Ok?

Derv mate, ive done a bit of work in a computer engineering workshop and personally i wouldnt go for it if it was half the price. The only laptops i would reccomend are toshiba and high end acers ;)

Very misleading opinion. You dont seem to have any experience with this laptop make or the laptop itself.

All the laptops produced by different brands are generally fine units. As with all machines there will be not so good ones. This laptop is a high end one, apart from the graphic. For the price, it is the best for its spec that I am currently aware of. I have been a computer technician since 2000 and generally know what is good. I have ordered this for a relative of mine.

Dont be put off by the above statement. This is a very good laptop to get if you want an all round machine for a decent price.

    Hi,
Just received mine ordered from Play. Must say it looks fantastic, just took it out the box for a peek, havent looked at anything else. But solid, much better looking than in the picture on playn a nice dark graphite sort of colour, like a titanium. Strong sturdy looking keyboard.
Cannot wait to play!, but being our first laptop a wee bit nervous, so will try it out later when i have some more free time. At least we still have the desktop in use for backup, no doubt we will have trouble connecting to our wireless network, we always do!;) ;)
    Cheers
