Ok, have scrubbed the oven, scrubbed and shined the hob and hood. The door glass is soakling in stardrops and the shelves are soakling in oven pride.
My tea went cold, so going to make another one and then sort out the glass and shelves.........

Mudbath - you've got no chance - you'll be first on my list!
    You're just mean :p

I've swept all downstairs, scaped carpet, s/s kitchen, dry clothes away, put a wash on, taken elderly dog to parents (she doesn't like the house being full of strangers anymore) and made lunch.

I've done what I had to do so now i'll check the list xx
  • Good morning! [looks around to see if anyone has noticed the deliberate mistake ]

Minion's memory foam topper was delivered this morning :j

    She got as far as stripping the bed off, collecting fresh bedlinen, changing the quilt cover and pillowcases and putting stuff in the bin before she twigged;

'Mum, you needn't think you're getting me to clean my room with this as an excuse'

[got you making your bed for the first time in weeks though, didn't it? ]:D

She loves it already. I even got a kiss off her - and a THANK YOU [thud]

I am just about to have some lunch and then I will be cleaning the upstairs bathroom window. It's the only one that desperately needs it (other than Minion's) as it's the only one that is permitted to have stuff on the windowsill. The stuff is currently sitting in the sink and will be replaced or dumped once the window is dry.

I have also decided to explore the horror that is eBeast. There must be stuff here I can flog without it being missed.

Piggers WELL DONE for admitting something has to give - it's better to be Flylady thread leading than it being you. Although I did happen to notice that you had removed the comment on the front page about being Our Glorious Leader when you came back from having Dot, and wondered if this was in the offing.

You'll just be Our Glorious Retired Leader, sort of like the Queen Mother of Hull :D:D:D [runs before Squeak is sent after me with a mule].

I might try and persuade/threaten Minion into doing some picking up of living room gibble. I usually the 'well, if I have to do this, I won't have time to do anything in the kitchen, so you'll be going very hungry' approach.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

One looked and shuddered and refused the fence.

started the spare room and did an hour, ended up trying to sort out the bedroom and the hallway all at the same time, but managed to make the bed clear up the carp from the flloor in the bedroom, chuck some stuff, start sorting the spare room, tidy the bathroom and kitchen and just generally sort through some stuff, trouble is after an hour I'm knackered. Hefting this huge baby around is really taking its toll today :(

Chases juliejim to catch mudders :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Awaiting the arrival of HGV lorry containing fluffy mules etc :rotfl::rotfl:

Went home for lunch and there was a load of blood all over the front door step and cat flap

Checked the painter is ok, he says he is.
Checked the cat, and he is ok

I 'think' cat has caught 'something' and dragged it it , so looked all round house, behind chairs, sofas, under kitchen table, with a torch under bookcases etc and I cannot find anything, or any signs of anything, (no left overs) so I am now left 'thinking' the cat ate ALL of it!

Anyway cleaned the blood off the step and door. (just hope cat does not throw up)

I still appear to have no time to get on here. My aim this week is to get rid of the ironing pile and to clean my car. I am away next week but hope to be back after that to get sorted for Christmas. We are tidy here and manage to clean it most weeks but we haven't finished sorting out boxes from the move yet so I will be concentrating on that.

What is this? Pick on the wonderful mudders day? I'm sure dusty will side with me....SHE'S always soooo lovely :rotfl:.

Why did I ever leave this site? The house is looking a bit more sparkly after one day. Living room sorted.

Hubby flooring attic. We still have quite a lot of carp up there. He just bought down 7 boxes of halloween stuff....I'd no idea we had most of it so I've a feeling some was here when we moved in. Anyway, I've got it down to 1 box and the rest has gone to charity.

Apparently my next job is to get the 17 boxes of christmas decorations down to 10:cool::rotfl:.

Next job - go and make sure DS has sorted his room as friends are staying in there. I'll go and rustle the binbag that he's been threatened with - don't worry, i'm not putting him in it but anything that I don't consider to be tidy. I am sooooo evil today :D.

Going to finish list then put my feet up xx
