Bex: The usual advice is do level 1 all week as well as Daily routines/todailies i.e. anything you need to do today and every day stuff like laundry, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

If you can sort out a nightly routine, (see the first post) all well and good, especially if you're rubbish in the mornings like I am.:D

Also, not overdoing it in the first month is a really good idea: better to do a bit rather than crash and burn! The first few days is really seeing what's going on in your house and how it all gets there (as well as who puts it there!) rather than trying to tackle all the jobs and making it picture perfect.

ETA: Valli, is it chilli sin carne for veggie chilli, or do I have a memory like a... oh, you know, kitchen thingy...

Bex - babysteps is how you start! It depends on how messy, cluttered dirty your home is. Assuming it has taken some time to get like it is now it will take some time to get back in order so don't take on too much or else burn out will be ahead. New list for Monday will be up tonight so I' recommend you start with that at maybe level's 1 and 2 and see how you go. You can copy and post the list on here and strike out for satisfaction. There will be challenges in post 2 with stars awarded so you should be happy.

Been busy prepping the living room and DH office plus outside for the window replacement tomorrow.

Washing on... Hopefully the machine won't leak... I accidentally covered the utility room in bubbles by doing the first wash with too much powder and too little stuff. Still, the floor is clean. I also cleaned the filter which is MUCH easier now the floor is level :D

Have located two small leaks - one where the DW outlet is clipped to the sink waste, and one where the U-bend joins the waste pipe. Hopefully those can be fixed tomorrow.

I've also put some more draught excluder on the back door as I found some thick rubber stuff left from when my brother lived in a draughty cottage, and decided to give the little room that was painted on Friday another coat - went over the window sill which was stained from the plastering, and for some reason not painted underneath, and have been round the edge of the ceiling with white to overlap with the paint on the wall (I was taught to paint this way, which the guy doing the painting for me obviously wasn't as I could see little bits of bare plaster round the edge.

I'm not that bothered that I'm having to go over it again... I could ask him, but I want him to spend his time on stuff I can't do (ceilings - I will mention the overlap, filling in the hall and stairwell. I may do the hall myself and get him to concentrate on finishing the utility room and doing the spare room ceiling while I'm away.

Paint will probably be dry, so need to go and find something to kill this headache with and then go and slap a final coat of emulsion on the walls!

Cats body clocks are stuck on summer time - they have been worrying since 4 o'clock on the dot for their dinner. Probably not helped by the fact that they can smell the lamb cooking!

Pumpkin done. Quite pleased with it. DH usually does this but as he is away I've done it.

Have ranted to a fellow flylady about the 'fait accompli' I may be presented with...daren't do it here - too public -

Anyway I have chocolate which DD has hidden for me because DS is like a roomba when it comes to food.

OOh DD said 'I didn't know we'd got that an d pointed to a 2L Dr Pepper bottle in the 'cocktail cabinet'
I :eek:ed at her because it's not Dr Pepper it's Sloe Gin 'brewing' or whatever it does. And I had told her...
