Well ... I stayed awake until the early hours reading MSE and thinking of ways to solve my money problemos. I don't feel anxious btw - I am chomping at the bit!

    Last night, I ...
    * Joined the £2 savers challenge. I have decided to aim for £100 because anything extra will be an added bonus. (Have £10 already)
    * Sorted out my money boxes. I used to put certain coins in certain boxes but I have decided to have one specifically for £1 and £2 coins, one for coppers and to put all other coins in one pot and fill it before moving onto the next.

    Today, I have ...
    * Changed the bed sheets
    * Done a load of washing
    * Registered with another survey website via a cashback website (why didn't I know about this before??!)
    * I used to do surveys on Valued Opinions but they really annoyed me last year so I stopped doing them. I have vowed to do as many surveys as I can so I did the one that VO plopped into my inbox a couple of moments ago. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that I had £7.60 in there so I did as many as I could. I want another M&S voucher to add to my collection. I only add surveys to my signature when I have received the voucher in the mail or have the money in my paypal account. I do this with cashback websites as well.

^ to be updated as the day progresses

Oh yeah, I have my bank balance texted every Friday and I am already £65 overdrawn. I must find this extra cash. I am due an expenses cheque and this will cover half of it. I will dip into over the month - it is unavoidable - but I just need to keep it low.

Yesterday was a NSD and today will be one as well as I am in the house on my tod (but my OH is coming over later - we aren't going out though and I took something out of the freezer for tea).

    Today, I need to ...
+ wash, dry and iron my laundry
+ Prepare for the dreaded back to work trek on Wednesday
+ Write my shopping list for tomorrow
+ Mop the kitchen and bathroom floor
    + Hoover
+ List three things on ebay - I must, must, must get over my fear of ebay
+ Have a general tidy up.

This is week two of this payday months spending diary (and 11 days into the payday month - 23 days left). It actually started on Friday and, so far, I have had (not including today) two NSDs. The week ends on Friday so I am aiming for 6 NSDs out of the possible eight.

I keep checking my inbox for surveys and mystery shops but nothing has appeared for a couple of days. The MS invitations have been silly. I mean, going into a primary school on Boxing day to see if they have their food hygiene certificate displayed??! pur-lease!!

I'm feeling very sorry for myself today. It's very windy, my head hurts and my OH has gone home as we are both back at work tomorrow :( we tried to get up early this morningbut failed miserably. I hate back-to-work blues :(

I went to PAH today and spent £38 and £28 was spent in Asda. I wont need to set foot in a supermarket until the end of next week.

My job for yesterday was to list three things on eBay but my research revealed eleven billionty listings for the tat I wanted to list so I didn't bother in the end. I have spent some time today looking at Music Magpie but I don't know much about it.

I have no survey or mystery shop invitations but I am very close to my next shop and scan voucher so it's not all doom and gloom

Today was my first day back at it was ruddy 'orrible driving there in darkness and driving home in darkness. Rain, rain go a bleeding way!!! Oh, I can't wait for summer. My OH and I were talking about holidays the other day but I can't see us having on this year as he is under the threat of redundancy and I'd rather spend the summer break moving into his house and getting mine ready for renting.

Speaking of renting my house, I must make it my goal to investigate what happens to my mortgage. If I have to change it to a buy to let then I really can't afford to move in with him because I need a massive deposit. Apparently, you need to go right back to the beginning again. I only have £600 in my savings account and all of that is accounted for. I need to have at least £5k saved as I need to replaster a few rooms (damn old houses!) and redecorate.

I have done a few surveys tonight and booked a mystery shop. I'm also going out tonight. A friend of a friend is 90 today and she puts us young 'uns to shame as she is forever going out on the lash. Her social life is better then what mine was when I was young, footloose and fancy free! Oh I am praying that I am the same when I am her age. I'm aiming on spending a tenner. No booze because hating drinking on work nights.

    ETA:

Well, I spent £9.50 (50p below target) but I ended up winning a fiver on a game of bingo. Go me! I can't remember the last time I won. This means that my night out only cost £4.50 :) I have decided to put my winnings in to the £365 in 365 days challenge. I only need to find another fiver and I have hit the months target. I'm just going to continue with it if I do. If I complete the challenge early then I will start it again. All the more for the cause!

Well, six days in to the new year and I have amassed four NSDs - woohoo! However, I am £190 overdrawn but there are three weekends inbetween now and payday :(

On the positive side I have petrol in the car, food in for the cats, food in for me and a tenner in my purse.

The people who hired me for the second job I had last year want me back. Thing is, I am doing extra hours for the day job and can't squeeze the other place in :( Oh if only they asked me a few weeks ago and I would have leapt at it. My extra hours last until Easter so after that I am free to take up another job. The agency I work my second job through love me because I work hard and have companies specifically ask for me. I am hopeful that I can bring in extra money when my temporary change in contract comes to an end.

I was itching for takeaway for tea but I remembered that I am poorer than a church mouse so I took one of my homemade ready meals out of the freezer instead. That will have to do.

Ok, I have a few surveys to do in my inbox. Wish me luck that I am not screened out.

well, I was screened out but I did manage another one. I don't know how much I got for it because it was one of those where you might have a couple follow up surveys to do or you might not.

Tomorrow will be a spending day as I have a mystery shop job and I need train fare. On the plus side, tomorrow is the start of week three in my spending diary.

Thanks - I don't feel it half of the time.

I have three payments pending on Valued Opinion and, once they have cleared, I have a voucher. I'm going to claim one from M&S because I like their shoes at the min!

I did the MS shop today instead of yesterday because getting dressed seemed like too much hard work. I didn't like the MS job and I don't think that they will like my report because the man in the shop was an absolute pig who didn't seem to care about his job.

    Goals for the week:
    + Packed lunch everyday
    + Post expenses form
+ early night, every night (save tonight)
+ start to lose weight. I asked my OH if my bum looked any bigger and the love agreed with me. I'm still in the same clothes size but if I don't address the issue now I will be the size of a house this time December. We are both on a healthy eating/living drive. I'm ok when I'm with him but I am a sw1ne for careless munching when I am in the house on my own.
+ Cancel Sky. This is outstanding from last week.

I have had a hellish day at work. As long as I remember that my work colleagues are colleagues and not friends then I will be fine. It just so happens that some people are bitter and twisted and only care about themselves. I shall be quite happy in my bubble whereby I rock up, do my job and go home. A thick skin is one that I shall wear with pride!

Today has been a NSD :). Still not cancelled Sky :(
