Oh I began the week so well!

Wednesday - didn't sleep a wink all night. Mum was rushed into hospital (she is ok) so I didn't go to bed until the early hours. I refused to leave the hospital until we had seen the doctor. Mums only give half of a story you see ... Spent £15 on petrol

Thursday - drained all day. Spent £58 at Sainsburys - arghh!

Friday - Spent £15 at a firework display

This weekend is going to be quite low key!

Just had a killer week at work which has thrown me completely off kilter. I'm also diseased with a filthy cold which doesn't help matters - urghhh!!! Anyway, this week is *going* to be quiet so I am aiming for as many NSD's as possible. I'm just going to drive to work in the morning and huggle up on my sofa when I get home. Sounds like a plan!

Let's just forget about last payday month, shall we?! I was paid yesterday and I updated my spending diary - yikes! My budget? What budget?!

    Anyway ...

All bills have been paid and I have very little money until my next payday (in three weeks and six days).

I drew £50 out of the ATM last night as I went out and I came home with just under £30 - good!

Just done an on-line food shop which is being delivered on Wednesday. This has cost (after deductions - vouchers and offers) £45 and should last for a while. I have stocked up on things that need replacing as well. I read a thread the other day about the joys of frozen veg so I bought a bag of frozen mixed peppers and sweetcorn. The general advice was to try a fewthings first (not to mention that I don't have much room in the freezer!)

This weekend is going to consist of spending as little as possible.

Hi  I have subscribed to yours as well :)

Ok ... goals for the week.

I want at least four NSD's this week. I have to buy petrol in the morning but the money for it is in my purse. I could always nip out tonight to buy it and claim tomorrow as an NSD but it's too cold and I can't be bovvered. So there! haha

I spent a few quid in the pet shop today as I needed cat litter. Now that it is colder, my furbabies are doing their doodoo in their tray. It stinks the whole house out when they go as well :( I'll be much happier when it warms up as they will be back to exploring the fields and lake.

Other goals? Keep on top of the housework, do the surveys that magically appear in my inbox and go to the gym at least twice. I haven't been to the gym in ages which is soooo wrong of me. I love swimming and I'm at the age now where gravity starts to strike - nooo!!!!

What a miserable day!! Gonna put my jim jams on in a bit and settle down in front of a dvd or two.

Well, I went swimming last night. I ached this morning though as it was the first time that I went in months. I did 30 lengths in about 30 minutes. Not bad! I'm planning on going again tomorrow night before my food shop is delivered.

Had a bit of a brainwave this morning. Admittedly, I don't have many of these and, if I weren't driving, I'd have had to lay down for a while to regain composure. Anyway, my CC is about £300 (next months bill) as I have been doing my Christmas shopping on-line. Normally, the balance is cleared when I get paid but I thought about keeping my wages where they are and finding a way to make the extra cash. Well, keeping my wages where they are until MOT day and flinging the extra at the BL.

I have a mystery shop lined up for Friday and I received a cheque for my expenses yesterday. Providing, I don't eff up the mystery shop I have got £47 to go towards the CC. Just another £253 to find and four and a bit weeks to do it in. Oh hang on - I bought a once-in-a-moon scratchcard the other day and won £2. This means that I have another £252 to find.
  • You're doing well snozberry. Keep up the good work.

    Mid week recap ...
Monday - bought petrol and, because I had a hellish start to the day, I ended up spending a few quid on a sandwich from the shop
Tuesday - NSD and I went to the gym
Wednesday - NSD. Waiting for the food shop that I ordered at the weekend to be delivered. Eating courtesy of the freezer.

ETA ... my foodshop was delivered with £20.77 deducted from the bill *happy dance*
  • That is definately one happy dance you should be doing there! Congrats on the NSDs.

    Thanks ~ I thought so, too! :):):)

Well, today wasn't an NSD as I had a cheeky McDonald's BUT I did my first mystery shop. It was a telephone call one and a five minute phonecall gave me 40 minutes of paperwork to do. Eek! But, if I did it right, then I will get £20. I have another two more shops to do tomorrow. They seem straightforward enough but I am not sure about one of them.

Thursday was an NSD so I have had three so far this week. I need to buy petrol tomorrow and buy some lightbulbs. I'm aiming for Sunday to be a NSD.
