My bridesmaids went behind me, but i had little choice as i had a 12 foot train and had to come in the door and turn to the right to come down the aisle - my train needed laying straight again after the turn and then needed fanning out when we reached the altar.

I had my flowergirls go in before me, in the end they were carried in by the groomsmen as they didnt want to walk (aged 1 and 2), but had they been older they would have walked in with petals to scatter.

It was. I felt like a real princess. :-)

Gutted to have to sell it on but i couldnt keep it anywhere. Even if i found a box big enough the dress itself was too big to go dragging out to look at. Better it got another home.

I hooked it up after the photos, so it was bustled at the back, the train was just long enough to look pretty but i could move around without assistance, then for the night do the train was removed altogether so i could dance easily.

It was like having 3 dresses. :-)

I'm going for little BM first, then big BM, then me. Not sure whether I'm going down alone or being given away by my big brother. I keep changing my mind...but that's my prerogative!

  • My 4 adult bridesmaids and my flower girl will walk down first to pachbel cannon in D, then I walk down to the traditional bridal march
