Boots Christmas Job

I got a call from my local boots tonight to say there would be an interview in the next few days
She asked if I could do nights 9pm -7am which I could theoretically but have never worked nights before so wondered if anyone had done this type of shift before and any advice? Also hope its not too cheeky but what kind of hourly rate do Boots pay - is it min wage?
Thank you and good luck to everyone still waiting0 -
I didnt get the Boots job either, after having done the assessment online. I was more of the people person than the decision maker, so maybe next time we will have to tick all those answers instead!
On to the next application!0 -
I passed it last year but wasn't offered an interview. This year I didn't pass. Never sure what to do on these things, it seemed to be trying to make you err strongly on the side of "I am a robot who does it all as it should be done" or "I'm a maverick who evolves with the job", no middle ground.0

Not sure if you have already had your interview but to answer your question, boots don't pay minimum wage but not all the stores pay the same rate. I think it depends on the size of the store and how busy it gets.0 -
DD has an interview in a few days for a part time job in Boots. It's an hour long interview plus she has to go on the shop floor.
So we've:- to visited store and made sure she is familiar with the layout of everything
- tried to think of essential items if she is tasked to put together a basket for a customer's specific requirements
- found out opening hours of branch and what services they offer on a Sunday
- an answer of why she wants to work there
- listing her skills/abilities etc. and how they relate to working in Boots (this is hardest as she has no relevant work experience).
