That sucks! I always thought that staff got a discount there

Good luck to everyone who's applied, I hope you're all successful :o
Just to clarify, Valli was referring to Primark, Boots temps do get a discount but only in the store they work at.

    *sigh*

I've just received the e-mail telling me I didn't pass the questionnaire part of the assessments. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Good luck to everyone else :o

  • Awww you poor thing don't give up hope I'm sure there's something waiting out there for you.

I just applied for another vacancy I doubt I'll get passed the first stage as I can't do Mondays or Tuesday. I've still not heard back from the online assessment.

Good Luck..I rang the Disney Store I was told that they just last week finished recruiting. You could give them a call if you have one nearby to you.

Gah, I hope you do manage to get past the first stage! fingers crossed for the Boots one too :)

I just applied for a Wilkinsons one near me. Apparently, they mostly advertise their jobs in the store window so if you have one near you, perhaps you could take a look? I also asked if they were hiring Christmas staff and they said they start recruiting as a firm overall on the first of November.

Thanks for the tip on Disney Store, I'll give my local one a try!

  • I had a reply from Boots:-
Your application and questionnaire results for this position have been carefully assessed and I regret to inform you that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion. However, I would like to thank you for your application, and for the interest you have shown in Boots.

When I've gone back online it shows questionnare completed but the job is for the application I made today for another store. I am confused.

    I love Disney..lol..
  • Can I ask how long after your online assessment you waited for a response back?

    Thank you

It was pretty quick either the day after or 2 days later.

I applied to two stores, one a few days after the first, they couldn't consider me for the 2nd position until the 1st had been "actioned on", either job offered or declined, only then could the 2nd application proceed.
maybe it's the same with you?

    Question 11

If one pair of shorts costs £3.95, how much would 4 pairs cost?

    * £15.75
    £15.70
    £15.72
£15.80 it would be this one actually!
    £15.77

I've applied for a job at John Lewis, think all their applications for xmas jobs are closed now. They recruit really early for anything! I think they had already finished their recruitment for the Stratford store in July or early August, when the shop opened in September :rotfl:

I would agree the Boots application system is very tricky. I've applied before and not got through and I have retail experience.
