I particularly love the tell tale signs of who they really are, obvious from the 'thanks' button.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
£20k-£29,999kI am purely making judgement on what has been said within this thread itself, no-one on a personal level.
I have never been a member of this forum before, So i'm unsure as to why you believe me to have been, perhaps a moderator can confirm from IP? (I used to moderate a forum and had access to this).0 -

Proud to be average. Would prefer to live in a country where you are able to support yourself on an average wage. But then what country is that?
Its pretty good here in Switzerland.
Average is about SFr. 60,000 (inc cost of living maybe £35k~)
Which I admit is probably extremely scued but even with less its comfortable...
Cant believe someone is determined to incite others to have a go at you, its just not worth it on internet forums.
I'm pretty sure thats what most internet forums spiral into...0 -
£10k-£19,999kwhen i was training to be a primary school teacher and realised that you started on 21k i thought if i ever got that kind of salary it would be like winning the lottery to me (and i'm not joking either). I don't spend the money i earn now, so honestly don't know what i would spend 50k on tbhI think £50k is a great salary. I'd be rich if I was on that:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

£50k+I think anyone who regards people who earn £50k a year as rich is likely to be a thick in the head, to be honest.
Nothing I've read on this thread disabuses me of that notion.0 -

This may be a misconception also. It's all down to where you live. Where I live in Hertfordshire, 50k+deposit + partners wage will get you an ok 3 bed house. Not a great one, but an ok one.
If I moved to Barnsley, i could get myself a 5 bed detatched house, for £50k less! So, i'd have considerably more disposable income. If I bought a 'like for like' house (3 bed), i could get one for £150k.. half the price.
Now, that would leave plenty of money to feel 'rich' with. I could probably lease a BMW with the spare money
So.. 50k a year is great if you live somewhere that makes it a 'high' income. When everyone else earns that much or more, it doesn't make you rich at all as your extra income will just be spent on additional living costs (i.e. big mortgage)0
