As you can see I am a new member of the forum. I have read this thread thoughly, and for everyones suriosity I earn around 23k pre tax.

I am unable to comprehend how someone can post this thread out of curiosity, and this turn into one of the most pathetic debates I have ever seen a group of grown adults hold. Why is this all based around what someone is doing for a living? Why are the people commented on this concerned and in need of trying to highlight any issues with what they do?

Some of the best and most pathetic comments in this thread are below -

"I'd like to formally state that I wouldn't get out of bed for £50k a year" - Nobody cares about that? Was that constructive, or is that just how you post 5000 times? Do you live in Mayfair and could not cover overheads with 50K, No basis for that is given as I'm sure you will know dependent upon location and circumstances 50k can do some people nicely. Suggestion = Think before you speak.

I am unable to describe how silly of a thread this is, the orgional poster is simply curious, nothing more nothing less, I understand that the poll results could by no far stretch be considered as factual for the reasons people have suggested. And I would like to state that around the abundance of rubbish posts in the thread a number of people are talking some sense.

My take on it is simple - People live to their wage, a good wage can not be discussed unless you know the local area and personal circumstances.

The sad thing about a money saving forum is that sometimes people get too engrossed in saving money, and for some reason forget that there is a life out there to live and who gives a damn if that costs an extra couple of pounds, if you can you will do whatever makes you happy.

But if you are a new member then you should perhaps learn (a) to read more carefully and (b) check out the posting history of posters before you sit in judgement. Some people around here have a history of making threads about "themselves", insisting they are right despite all evidence (and often the law) saying otherwise, and then spitting their dummy out and saying they are never coming back here when called on it. They also seem to have a history of creating new user ID's to come and support themselves...

Yes - I have also had an interesting PM from LadyMissA. Unfortunately foium rules forbid me from disclosing its contents or pasting it here, but I would like to confirm for everyone else that there is nothing wrong with me and I am perfectly sane. Thank you all for asking.
