As I remaked earlier we have plenty of brownfield sites, disused industrial and office blocks and small apartment blocks that could be made larger in all of our cities. The reduced commuting times and distances will also help financially and socially and will cut CO2 emmissions and reduce our reliance on imported petrol.
Brownfield sites are ideal but the developers don`t want them. can`t make enough money out of them. They only want to build houses now on nice green areas.0 -
Do any of you know about your Local Development Framework?
We have had consultations on where the 390 houses a year will be built.0 -

Just claim a bit of land for yourself, thats what the first landowners did.
I can see people doing this if the government dont stop letting thousands of people into this country and funding the benefit baby farms to fill up the few new houses built.
Seeing as the government bailed out lloyds with taxpayers money then i think its only right the taxpayer should get a plot of the massive landbanks lloyds are sat on.
I have seen this myself in the past, you will get this chinless inbred wonder who will tell you the story of how he gained his ancestral home/land when one of his ancestors back in the dark ages killed the brother of a local big nob and was rewarded with his present estate "don't you know wot wot wot".
And the same person who told the story he is so proud of was leading the front line on the latest nimby attack on working couples trying to get a few houses built.
I don't think it will be too long before we go back to a dog eat dog society and the stronger man takes what he can, and I will be over the moon.
Even in this thread I have had a poster tell me in a roundabout way that I should lower my expectations. I should maybe travel 300 miles a day, get a third job and sell a kidney, and then live in the worse run down place fit for man, GET STUFFED AND WHY SHOULD I!!.
Same person apart from being obtuse and over generalising fails to respond to my points about people living in properties paid for by HB, or the self cert that is now in trouble and is being kept in the property. Or the endless welfare scroungers that scream victim, or the immigrant that arrives with half a dozen kids and is paid weekly in HB what an OAP who worked their whole life could use to pay for a years heating.
There are millions of working young couples in the UK now who are losing out because Government policy is designed to save the haves, no matter how they got it. You go to many internet sites now and I am shocked at the number of people who want some kind of economic meltdown in order for them to maybe then get some kind of level playing field, if that does not prove there are huge problems in this country I don't know what does.0 -
