I've tried most of the products on the market. The first thing to remember is all the products will only take your teeth to their 'natural' whiteness and that they can make your teeth more sensitive, again it depends on your teeth. I've had the gel and mould from the dentist and than a coating put on my teeth to make them less sensative. This was then banned from the UK but now reinstated. I've used the trays and gel from Boots etc and then last year decided to go down the lazer route while in the states. None of them lightened my teeth more than a shade or two. After reading this thread I've decide to try the whitestrips. I'm on my 2nd day so how effective they are I'll have to let you know but I'd certainly recommend them for ease of use and you don't seem to get that horrible taste that you get with the trays. If this doesn't work i'm going to have to presume that my teeth won't lighten (and they are quite yellow) and either stick with them or get veneers. Not probably what everyone want to hear but my experience.

I have seen the Crest Whitening strips in France although not tried them myself, know people that have and are very pleased with them.

I bought my daughter Rapid White whitening stick from Boots - it was half price at xmas £6 something but its now gone back up to £12. This seems to work for her teeth. I also bought the pack from Boots last year and this working brilliantly. It has syringes and a gum shield and this also worked but that was £27.

  • If you have Actual dark stains try the denist scraper from boots (by dentek or somthing) It actually scrapes off stains, I found it made a big difference and my teeth felt loads cleaner!

I paid my dentist £200 to have trays made up, most people told me that my teeth were whiter but i couldnt really see it,i really want 'tom cruise white' so im looking for some gel as i dont really want to pay to have more trays when i already have them.
  • My wife tried Blanxs and she would NOT recommend it! She ended up with very sensitive teeth. Though she stopped using it some months ago ahe is still suffering with some pain.
A personal experience, may work for others.

Hi - I'm afraid none of us will get Hollywood teeth without paying for them! I think 99% of celebrities with good teeth actually have veneers; real teeth can only go natural-white, which isn't the dazzling white you see on tv.
  • Plus - when you see models on the front of magazines, they have their photo taken with bright lighting and flashes.

The flashes will make the teeth appear much whiter than they really are.

And, of course, there is digital enhancement as well.
  • This is a really odd question but...

Does using any of these kits or the crest strips pose a risk to Tooth Jewellery? Ive got 'diamond' on a tooth which i want to keep, and was worried that using any of these products may cause it to come off?

    L xx
