Same here, what a complete !!!! up this whole thing has been, I'm also out of pocket for the phone calls I made to Paypal after being told by Gumtree to contact them. Maybe they'll put this right, either way I won't be using this bunch of amateurs in the future

I've received two credits, one of £10 and then another £1, I presume to cover the PayPal fees. At least we got there in the end, and I'm satisfied now

You may have done everything right. Some people had more than one email address on their paypal account and gumtree didn't give them their £10. Might be worth chasing up, especially as others have got their cashback.

Same thing happened to me and after several emails complaining after they refunded my £5 to my credit card without any reason why I have just had paypal email to say gumtree have credited my account with £11 so don't let it go, email them x

I never even followed up with emailing them - but today I've had my £11 into my Paypal!

Result!

Wonder what their official line will be on what happened. They are apologising to individual posters on the FB page.

Just this minute received this, and on checking, have had £11 in my account (minus 57p fee = £10.43) :j :beer: :j
