Furious! Have sent an email to paypal but don't hold out much hope

Phoned paypal and they have assured me that my email address is fine and valid. They said that gumtree are the ones crediting the money into peoples accounts and not paypal. Paypal have been told by gumtree to refer anyone who calls back to gumtree so looks like we are getting the run -around :mad:

Grrr. Never got mine.

When I tried to redeem I was getting all sorts of timeout errors in the website. When I went back, it said "redeemed", so I couldn't do anything then except wait.
Just logged back in to see "refunded"

generally just having a grrrrrrrrrrrrrr !

Now to see if I can remember my login details for my online credit card statement to check it HAS been refunded!

Mine has 'refunded' on the voucher , but my credit card statement doesn't show the refund...yet. They are still refusing to answer email regarding this, some people on hukd are posting on their facebook wall about it.

Just checked my ccard on line and the £5 has been refunded.
I personally think that the deal was more popular than gumtree anticipated and have therefore decided not to give everyone the money in paypal which is disgraceful especially when they are giving a lame excuse of invalid email addy (I phoned paypal and they said there is no reason why they couldn't credit my account as address is valid). I have emailed gumtree but still no reply :mad:

Having same issues as other people on this thread.
1. Paypal credit not received
2. Did not use primary Paypal email.
3. No response to emails sent to Gumtree.
4. Refunded on GumtreeDeals site but refund transaction not showing on my Bank account.

Suggest people complain to Consumer Direct

No money in my bank account either. Getting a wee bit cross now. Same as you, no responses to emails any more either.

I chased them a bit more despite the voucher status changing to 'refunded'

We've just received noticed from Paypal, the email address you submitted was invalid. If your account is indeed valid, you must contact Paypal directly to rectify this issue. Your account has been refunded £5, the reversal will appear on your next credit card statement.

The email used is definitely valid.
