Hello Missus Knitty
It sounds to me like you have been super busy and that you are super organised
What you need is a mattress at the top of the stairs so you can get on it with the stuff, a wee push and off you go
Even if you haven't got anything to bring down you should try it - it's brilliant fun and free!!!!! Took us about three days to eventually get an old mattress to the tip the last time I changed themHave pointed this out to my children as an alternative to spending squillions in Blackpool in the summer but they weren't convinced :cool:
Keep plodding on missus, you are doing a brilliant job and you're staying upbeat and cheerful, so all is goodFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
a hat is something i've never knitted unless it was in the form of a baby bonnet, i have put it on my list of something to knit for Mr LT as he always wears hats0

Pfffft! In which case I'm writing it wrong! Truth be told, I've done almost nothing from this morning's list - though I have caught up with sleep, wrapped and delivered the last load of prezzies bar two, and had dinner with a friend. Early start tomorrow and I should catch up on myself *fingers and toes crossed* before mum turns up!What you need is a mattress at the top of the stairs so you can get on it with the stuff, a wee push and off you go

lol i always get the 'three steps beyond hysteria' feeling the day before i have some leave from work, not through excitement but from the fact i just know there's now way i could get on top of my workload before i leave for the day so it's just madness to try0

Oh I hit hysteria days ago - even the postman has begun to be a little afeared of ringing the doorbell. Therapist this afternoon noted that my eyes are now 'twinkly'...didn't like to point out that it's mania rather than happiness...:rotfl:[/QUOTE]
Hi Nora
I haven't been around for a while as work has been manic with one thing and another.
I knew you were moving sometime soon so decided a quick catch up was in order before I drive up to see darling GS in London.:j
Hope it all goes well as I'm sure it will and I will catch up later in the week to see how the happiness (mania!!) is going.:)
love

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Well, golly, that feels a lot better!- Top floor of the house is clear, clean and woodwork painted (will do another coat today if necessary);
- Middle floor paintwork done - again, second coat today if necessary;
- Middle floor generally looking far less cluttered, though there's now an enormous pile of clothes on the floor of one room - where did it all come from?!!;
- Ground floor also looking far less cluttered, with downstairs loo now clear;
- Dustbins now full, tip run with various bags and bits later today.
Though I did plan it so almost everything which is left is 'squishy' and will therefore pack down a lot smaller in the car. And thank the Lord that I'm pretty good reversing using the wing mirrors, as there's no way I'm going to be able to see out the back of the car!
I've become a bit of a rebel about the cleaning - for example, according to the contract, I'm meant to have the carpets professionally cleaned. Since I did that when the dog messed around the house pre-bucket kicking, I'm not doing it again for carpets which I know will be trashed by the landlord; I'm also not cleaning the bloody light fittings - they all look lovely, but they're all those sort of uplight glass bulb efforts which you have to literally remove from the ceiling to shake the bugs out of! So they're getting dusted and that's it...*stomps foot*
Everywhere else gets the polish, hoover and bleach treatment as appropriate - which I think is perfectly reasonable...and certainly means it'll be left in a better state than I took it on in!!
So, finishing packing today, cleaning tonight and tomorrow morning then off to therapy and a quick goodbye lunch with friends, back here to pack the car and shift the two divans outside for the council to collect tomorrow - all ready for the inspection at 4pm. Fingers and toes crossed to be on the road by about 5ish as it would be good to get down south while it's still reasonably early....
...and I'm trying very hard not to notice the snow and generally mardy weather that's settling in overhead...nope, no siree bob.....

Screaming is the best therapy in the world
Just keep screaming as much as you need to. You may alarm passers by but I'm sure they'd be much more alarmed by a manic Missus Knitty careering down the street brandishing her enormous needles :rotfl:
It's all coming together. This time tomorrow you'll be off to a new start. That's a bit exciting, don't ya think? You should be very proud of yourself. If I had a gold star, I'd give it to you for hard work and determination (and for all the motivation and inspiration you give me). Wait a sec...*runs off to check* will a red one do?? :staradmin or even a green one :starmod:
And I have a question, How do the blimmin bugs get in there?? I have some of the shades you were talking about and it's always about 2 days after I've changed the bulb and wiped them out that another one makes it it's final resting place. One of life's little mysteries :rotfl:
I know that you will by engulfed by much busyness (is that even a word) over the next couple of days but pop in and let us know how your doing......even if it is just to scream loudly in my ear, I shall be wearing DD2's winter ear muffs just in case :rotfl:
Lotsaluv, hope it goes smoothly xFree by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150
