Morning 'verse :hello:
Thanks to freeby and everyone else for their kind comments on the wrap.
I'm thinking of adding the throws and these wraps to the things I'd like to sell on my facebook shop in the new year, so the feedback is useful.
Pricing is going to be a faff (I honestly despise pricing)...but I'm thinking around £45 -£50 for the throws, and £20 ish for the wraps in adult size, and £15(ish) for a smaller version for little girls.
Those prices would cover all materials and gives me a little left over. If you weren't MSE-ing, would that seem reasonable to you?
And of course, now I'm thinking of names for the shop....
Packing started properly last night - no idea why, but the bug hit around 11pm and carried on through until nearly 2am. Am at the stage where pictures are starting to come down - though I've a few large ones which will stay up until the day before the removal.
I also moved the furniture around last night to accommodate the Christmas tree - woo hoo! :xmastree:
Has to go up today, I need to wrap and place all the presents under it. They're currently getting in the way all around the house...
On an MSE front, I might've already spent £25 at knitting last night on new extreme kneedles, wool and buttons.
The new needles are round ones and look like you could perform a colonic with them...so if the worst comes to the worst, I can put them to an alternative use to ensure they pay for themselves!!;)
And I'm hitting the shops later today to finish off a couple of presents...and get in some bread and milk
On the bright side, I really don't need much in terms of food or 'present finishings' so I'm not expecting that to come to very much.
Tomorrow I'm off for an afternoon out with good friends. It's a trip we planned over two years ago now, but I mucked up the plans by wrapping my car round a tree and being flat on my back for a little while.
In my defence, that tree moved.... and since I live in Tolkin country, you know it's a possibility!
Righto, lots to do today so I'd best at least start with a cuppa and a biccie!

Look what I did........I'm a bit scared that people will laugh :eek:It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

That is good. You can bring them back to help your packing as well...Knitting_Nora wrote: »In my defence, that tree moved.... and since I live in Tolkin country, you know it's a possibility!
What is Tolkin country? It's more likely too much tolkin, and not enough watching the road... :rotfl:"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Don't mind at all. It's the ribby wrap from this Sirdar pattern:
http://www.sirdar.co.uk/designs/womens/accessoriesWomens/9314
I used two 200g balls of chunky marble (James C Brett) and knitted it double (two yarns). You won't need both balls - in fact you could poss get away with just one if you're prepared to run the rink of everything getting tangled as you work from both ends. The colours come from the yarn itself - both balls were the same colour blend, I haven't done anything fancy!
Size 12 pins so it grows fast - all told, it's taken me between two and three days per wrap, and it's an easy one to do while you're chatting or in front of the tv. I then added a ceramic button - though they look fab with wooden ones as well.
Shout if you need anything else.

Morning 'verse
Things I have learned this morning:
1. It isn't wise to go to bed leaving boxes strewn across the floor of the hallway and landing;
2. It's even less wise to leave the Christmas tree box laying on its side on the floor right outside your bedroom door;
3. That you should really learn to stay in bed until your eyes are open properly, and your eyesight kicks in;
4. That when boxes are strewn around your house, it's sensible to look down and watch where you're walking; and
5. That once leared, a childhood of gymnastic summersaults never really leaves you...pointed toes and 'ta-da' finish included....Have a goodun' - and watch where your feet are going!!
