  • *whispers* I am wearing my not-so-quiet smug face....can you tell?

I've just completed my first ever energy switch using the main website's guidance...I feel so grown up!! Instantly saving me more than £50 a year.

Then I only went and swapped the Tescos points I've been saving all year and boosted them into a 12 month subscription for my favourite magazine - technically saving me £24 (the price of a subscription), but actually saving me £47.88 because I never seem to get round to sorting out a subscription...

And tonight I actually got round using the points on my Nectar card to cover a mini-shop....

*dances round the room in a well-chuffed fashion*

    :)

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAA

You are back....hurrah.....I had a Mini of the girlie variety although a mini cooper could be next on the cards, I'll just ask Santa....
Life is like a sandwich, the more you put it in then the tastier it gets.............just go easy on the :spam:
  • Has it really been nearly a year since I last posted?!! That's crazy...and frankly it shows in my overdraft. :(

So it's been quite a ride - I think the last time I saw you guys I had a full time job and was doing ok. Well, we had to part ways early this year and it took me a little longer than I'd hoped to get back on my feet. New job back in June, which is fab but only part time. Plus a really unhelpful habit of trying to keep up with everyone else, and all in, it's played havoc with my finances - and my thrifty mojo disappeared quite some time ago. I've done the normal things - railed against the situation, prayed over lottery tickets, and sulked......a lot.

And then I remembered that everything's within my control - and you guys, and the amazing non-judgemental support on here while I'm sorting myself out. Plus all the good advice and thrifty know-how across the forums to help me do that - and here I am.

    Miss me?

I wasn't a regular poster, but a reader (everything with knitting or yarn in the title LOL). Sorry that you have been having a tough time. Are you still knitting?. Will pop in and wave from time to time.:)
