Oh no, it was nearly 12 hours ago too... I hope you've remedied the problem by now!

Soooo......I think I might be scared/uncomfortable/generally discombobulated about having money in the bank...which would explain why I keep trying to spend it.

Well if it helps you could let me have it.....
Or enjoy the fact that you're allowed to spend some of it, just not all as you have discovered that not being in debt is fun. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I love being discombobulated, it makes the world easier to deal with.
I have no idea how it feels to have money so I can't help you
Can we discuss something easier please?Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
That would make perfect sense to me... the woman who has not quite managed her budget this month despite an extra cash injection... and not because of anything I really needed, but because I got antsy and distracted at the realisation I could go shopping if I wanted, without drastic and guilt-inducing consequences. Sort of. It's not like I've gone wild - I bought a saucepan that needed replacing, a colander I needed anyway, and a set of pretty towels, all for a total of about £40... but it was a bit odd to realise I'd gone shopping for nothing in particular. Strange really, since some people treat it as a pastime. Though interestingly, I seem to have lost the bug - I have no inclination to do it again.
It's a weird feeling when something you've been focusing on for so long changes, and weirdness feels, well, weird.
My suggestion would be to stick it in separate accounts from your usual one so it's sort of hidden. One for definitely keeping it out of the way (ISA?) and an easier access one with a bit of 'luck' money in there, waiting while you decide the most special thing that you really really want and will make a difference to your life when you spend it.
More importantly, did you get yourself chocolate supplies?

I feel the same way about spare money Nora, except mine I want to chuck to my debt but without knowing when I'm getting work I can't do that. I second what Rosa says about putting your spare money into savings and making sure it's instant access so that you can get to it if you need to pay bills.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
