Lol - not sorted, borrowing other people's!! Will be a few weeks before I can get everything sorted at my place.

Cleaning continues - have now bought shares in bleach!!

you put me and my (lack of )cleaning skills to shame Nora. Slow down so us mere mortals can catch up a little.

Would you be able to recommend somewhere to get some big buttons from, don't have a fortune and i need 3 to finish off the cardi i've just knitted for myself. Thanks.

If the house was just a normal level of grubiness, then I wouldn't be that worried....but it resembles a hazmat zone...hence the bleach....

Do you know what sort of buttons you're after? I tend to find ebay is a brilliant place to find that sort of thing. Personally I use Textile Garden http://www.textilegarden.com/index.html at the moment because I'm sourcing something specific - but there may be cheaper places depending on what you're after.

Of course, don't forget your local charity shop either - I often find treasures in my local ones.

    Hope that helps.

Well I've decided to help you declutter the new place by buying stuff from you. :)

My birthday money finally landed in my bank account this morning so have treated myself to pretty things.

And while you're in hazmat zone level cleaning mode fancy coming doing my place? I have chocolate and not an inconsiderably quantity of booze.

Lol - still borrowing t'internet, and still cleaning (well, was until a day or so ago as nipped back oop north to do stuff....well now, that didn't sound very good, did it??!!).

    Thanks Rosa :A

And, was very excited to log in today and discover (amongst millions of groupon emails, and tesco offer emails) a little note from Folksy saying I'd sold some bits *goes a bit giddy with excitement* :D

Will be in the post first thing on Monday morning Missus S! And don't be offended, but I'm not trekking over to clean your place up as a thankyou for buying from Nora's Thoughts....:rotfl:

    hugs to all.

Worth a try! No hurry to send as am off playing out on the south coast next week (plus I think the money went as an e-cheque so may not have cleared by Monday).

Actually I think I've found someone who is willing to come clean the place and give me foot massages in return for the odd 'home' cooked meal.....sometimes I love that squaddies are a bunch of weirdos (and I've known this one since long before he was a squaddie and he was scarily houseproud even back then).

You know, I actually meant to say 'as soon as the dosh has landed' and got way too excited about posting stuff off...thank the great ferret that you're here to look out for me!:A

And I'm not touching the subject of dodgy squaddies!! :rotfl:

Nah this one isn't dodgy....actually he bloody is, when I first met him 12ish years ago he was the guy my step dad warned me to stay away from despite my being quite distinctly under age! From what I gather his reputation is no better now than it was back then - sitting in the common room in the block his mates were amazed I'd not been clubbed over the head and dragged in to his cave, then they realised we were talking scuba *not* flirting.
