Ooo, just the right place for the vase (don't tell the others, but it's my fav one so far!). Box is...well...a little bigger than the vase......and I don't know what size your last food order was *tries to look all innocent*
....it might be twice the size of the vase to fit in all the bubble wrap and nuggets....
But, you see, this is my first one...Nora's little baby if you will, and I had to make sure it got to you ok....
Ok, I'll stop now.0 -

Mr Lassy was given loads of bags of shrapnel by a colleague who was retiring and couldn't be bothered to get them changed, so Mr Lassy brought them home as a present for me *swoon*
Then we went off to the solicitors to sign the contracts on our new house
Then Mr Lassy said I should visit the coinstar and spend the proceeds on something nice to put in new house...
I had spied the lovely vases and couldn't think of anything more special to have full of flowers on my kitchen windowsill when we finally get to move in ( hopefully in a couple of weeks!)
I will happily recycle the packaging to safely transport my knick nacks, so it's all good xxx
p.s. How big is the parcel pet?? I have a mental image of it being the size of my last mega order from Approved Food:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
And is anyone else as thrilled as me over just how MSE the whole adventure has been? From coins through to recycling the packing...Martin'd be proud!0 -
Ooh Nora, I bought my first pair of knitting needles today
no idea how to knit but I'm sure the lovely ladies at W.I. will teach me when I go for the first time on tuesday (it's their sewing & knitting sub-group monthly meetup). I have been crocheting this evening and realised I've been doing it all wrong oops! Meant to do it into the holes not under the chain, ho hum!
Do you recycle your bubblewrap when you get any post? I've got boxes of the stuff all over my room in places now, I never ever throw it outDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Ooo, new needles is exciting....and I'm sure the lovely ladies at the WI will happily share their skills. Don't eorry about creating your own stitches with the crochet - truth be told, I actually purl "incorrectly"...but it suits me, and makes the pattern more interesting!
I do recycle my bubblewrap and boxes - well, usually, though Missus Lassey has been treated to new stuff because...well...*blushes* it was my first order...:)
I also have a lovely friend who works for a local store which would normally throw their bubble wrap out  Now they manage to save me at least 3 black sacks full over the Autumn as they get their Christmas stock onto the shelves....fab!0 -
Knitting_Nora wrote: »So...Nora's Thoughts is officially in business!
First item officially sold yesterday and was packaged and posted this morning....and I've bored even the post office to death with my wide grin and excitement!
So anyway, a big smiley thank you to my first customer (you know who you are...:A).
I *ahem* may have overdone the packaging lark, but I firmly believe that distribution of bubblewrap across the nation will save the NHS bill on counselling stressed people.
So, did I mention that something sold? *runs around cheering*
Hope everyone else's day is matching up!

Ohhhhhh How exciting Missus Knitty :j and I am very jealous of Missus Lassy and her vase and her new house and her bags of shrapnel
I wish you lots and lots more orders especially if you don't mind cheeky pm's for individual requests:rotfl:but my new bathroom is crying out for a lovely vase full of fresh flowers.

Good morning all
Thankyou for all your kind wishes about my house xxx
It represents tremendous progress for me and it's pretty much all down to me stumbling upon this website.
By getting a grip on all things financial, we have got ourselves into the position where we can buy our own home and run two cars on quite a bit less money than we had coming in this time last year.
Miraculous stuff thanks to my mse epiphany, reading the diaries and being jollied along by my new buddies.
And so everytime I look at my beautiful vase I will be reminded of the progress we have all made, and that anything is possible if we try hard enough and stick tight to those pennies.

What a gorgeous post! I love an MSE success story - keeps me snuggly and warm throughout the entire day. :A0 -
You may well be getting another order tomorrow - just had a message from my Dad he's bought the hifi I was looking for on ebay for considerably less than I was looking at paying, which means I'll have spare pennies for goodies, just have to choose between one of the gorgeous wraps or a selection of pretty glass things over a period of time. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
