Cambodia - especially the Angkor Wat temple complex.....(Ta Promh stunningy eerie). Spent 3 days exploring there but was nowhere near enough time to do the place justice. Very friendly people and beautiful country, but such a tragic history. Traffic/motorbikes a nightmare though! Also, boat trip down the Mekong Delta...all the locals living in the houses on stilts wave at you as you pass through....never done so much waving....felt a bit like the queen!

Vietnam - as has been said...fascinating, beautiful, friendly, fab food, (Cu Chi tunnels a must!)

New Zealand - especially South Island...Fox Glacier, Franz Josef Glacier, (helicopter trip to land on them), sail through Milford Sound....absolutely stunning....waterfalls, seals & penguins come to gawp at you. New Zealanders soooo friendly and laid back.
  • I've travelled a lot but never felt like I did when descending into the Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania early in the morning. It was a Garden of Eden - I'd go back tomorrow.

Loved the place when we went for our silver wedding but would like to go back in warmer weather (we went end of March time)

And the alternative, I would love to see Niagra falls in a really cold December but Kathy hates the cold so thats a non starter, only been in Summer before.
