quite clearly states on the 3 for 2 advert 'on top of all our other toy offers'. This happened to me. Knew nothing of previous offer so went to get 2 for £15 on 3for2. Same response from store but agreed with me that it was clear that it stated on top of all our other offers. Phoned cs got the. Same response. Didn't give up and emailed cs when I got home, result 2 mins later received phone call, would send £5 voucher in post. Offer would have finished so asked her to arrange with store. Went today, collected all 3 items price corrected at till £15,. I too have a few children and genuinely thought it was too good an offer to miss. Their advertising is very misleading.

I have had the same too - store refused to honour the leapster explorer BOGOHP offer in the 342.

I pointed to the giant signage which says 342 on top of all other offers and they said it didn't apply to this offer! How so?

Unbelievable and quite confusing to say the least.

Last time they did the 3 for 2 I do not believe they were advertising the 'on top of other offers deal' so think people have a right to be upset not getting the offers together this time. Plus it only shows at the till not online so you don't even get a chance to see that it won't work before you make the trip. Wanted 2 out of 2 for £15 and extra 'free' toy at £5 so not huge saving. Will wait to see what Sainsbury have next week. Still a good deal for people needing 3 things for around same price just naughty advertising by Argos.

I managed to reserve some bits, but not sure it's worth the bother or argument for toys that end up being half price - might just chance sainsburys instead!!

The advert clearly states that it is on top of other offers, it is their fault for misleading everyone in the advertising and people have a right to be angry when they make a special trip to go and are refused what they are expecting. And if you don't like it, don't read it

Im perfectly happy, I have almost all my shopping done too! I didnt say everyone in my post, I said most,which is true.yes they do have in big letters on top of all other offer, but its clear from most posts that the 2 for 15 is not included, so why bang on repeating the same thing all the time?plus to be honest, I think argos have missed a lot of trade anyway by not offering this online, as tbh I struggled to find anything I really wanted for my son out of the catalogue, I dont think I spent anymore than £25 on the 3 for 2. A lot of their stuff is overpriced anyway. I didnt mean to offend anyone, which was why I said at risk of being shot down in flames, as I knew some people would get upset, but its the same with a huge majority of the grabbits, that there is a glitch or something involved so not everyone benefits in the same way.
I may have accidently read the post as it is titled 3 for 2 on all toys, and not people whining about not getting 3 for 2 on the 2 for 15 toys, please accept my apologies for this mistake!

Oh and im 2 weeks away from giving birth, so this may explain my irritability!:o:o

I reserved three Lego items all worth roughly £20 but when I went to the store one of the items had went up to £26 but the SA saw the price I'd reserved it for and reduced it without me having to argue. I was very impressed.

It seems though they are wriggling out of the 'on top of any other offer' bit though - my reservation was for the leapster games not the 2 for £15 and I was denied the offer at the till.

THAT is the bit that is so misleading - you reserve online with the t&c's stating the discount will be applied at the till instore.

Then (after travelling in our case 20 miles to the nearest Argos) at the till the offer is withdrawn due to a different offer being in place (not the 2 for £15 in our case) despite it saying on top of all other offers!

It is madness really, and very misleading indeed.

Caution is needed for anyone reserving online and making a special trip - it really isn't worth the hassle.

Sainsbobs here we come!
