I found this so i did it the old fashioned way and rang the automated reservation number! Luckily they had nearly everything i wanted and they have also reserved things til the end of monday, which i was surprised at!

yes all 3 have to go back, even if it's for an exchange , it's a bit of a pain in the bum, i'm having to do exactly the same bought let's pretend charlie bear, not even worth half that price IMO

Just wanted to share what I have learnt today...
I reserved my 3 items on line (2 were in the 2 for £15 deal and one item for £5.99)
As their website says the offer is on top of all other offers I was expecting to pay £15 total (the cheapest item being the free one)
Sales assistant told me it was £20.99 to pay, when i argued it with the manager he said that the till cannot override it and as far as he was concerned that offer was not on top of the 2 for £15. I left saying that i would be back with the print out from their website as I felt sure that was illegally advertising.
When I got home i decided to call customer services instead of dragging myself into town once again, lovely young chap then explained that although he was very sorry it was a complete mistake on their part and the offer does NOT include the 2 for £15 offer. He said that whilst it is very misleading no laws have been broken as their mistake was pointed out to me at the checkout before any money had exchanged hands! I tried to argue that surely Argos are falsely advertising and lurring cusomers in on false pretenses, all he could do was apologise and say that they were trying to correct their website and advertising, stressing that they were within their rights

Is this correct anyone? I'm really cross as I made a special trip for collection.:mad:

I was told exactly the same instore today. I left saying that I would spend my money in the Sainsburys half price toy sale later this week.

I have taken screen prints of the offer banners and post on Facebook, including the banner that is shown on the page that has the 2 for £15!

i post this at risk of being shot down in flames!
this is the second time this year this offer has been on and first time around the 2 for £15 was not included, so why should it be different this time(despite what it says regarding other offers)?
also, most people are going instore already in the knowledge that the 2 for £15 is not included simply to argue the point that it should still work, tbh, you should be glad items are not charged at full price cancelling the 2 for £15!
folks its simple, if you dont like it, dont shop there!
im just fed of people whining all the time

just to confirm club penguin member ships ARE included in the 3 for 2 the staff told me it wasn't but scanned them through and they are! 3 months for 7.90!
even more value if you buy the 6months @ 19.49.

Thats a bit harsh!
I haven't posted about this at all, and didnt even know it was a twice a year thing! Having 6 children, i dont get much time to go through pages of posts!!
Was a genuine sale as far as I was concerned, having bought a couple of items a few weeks ago in the 2 for £15, just thought this was an ideal chance to get some more christmas pressies put away even cheaper.
Surely if this has happened before, why have the store allowed it to happen again!!!!!!!!!

If you are fed up with people whinging then perhaps you should spend less time replying to genuine posts with genuine complaints, upsetting the innocent poster!!
