Morning all. Up earlier today as it was my turn to walk hound first thing. He disgraced himself by using another dog walkers leg as a lampost. I was mortified. Thank goodness it was another dog walker - she just said 'it happens'.
RosyRed awww, have a (((HUG))). The cold weather and dark mornings are enough to make anyone tearful!:o
Meg ate up her breakfast again this morning; I fed her at 06:30 (I'm told breakfast time for her is between 06:00 and 08:30), and she ate half, at which point I had to go and have my bath in time for Mr LW to help me dress before he went to work; we had our own brekkie, and when he left at 07:30 I took her for a bit of a "constitutional" and she ate the rest when we returned.:T
I did us egg fried rice for dins last night, as there was an egg that needed using up (I did use more than one, don't worry):D so that was a bit of a change for us, and it's veggie bangers'n'mash tonight; Mr LW has peeled and cut the spuds and left them in water for me.:A
My stupid shoulder is still playing me merry hell; I've already had two doses of Oramorph this morning, and trying to resist having another one.:( Hope it settles down soon, it's a damned nuisance! I think I'll get a coffee and put off the Oramorph for a little longer if I can.;)
Happy Wednesday, everyone.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Quicky from me , chilly chilly chilly today, have had to admit defeat and put the heating on low for a while:mad: didnt want to until at least beginning of Nov but my back has given up so cant even really move about much to keep warm. Will turn it off in a bit.Still have my lovely lodger at the mo. He is doing ok, his dad sent him a really hurtful txt telling him that he no longer had a dad or a mum:eek:. I told him to save it but to ignore it. His mum has been popping upto the school every day for half an hour to spend time with him as his dad has put a ban on her contacting him.Nasty piece of work or what.
Anyhow, as the house is still nice and tidy from yesterday, and dd is making shepherds pie at school I dont need to even think about dinner I am going to grab a couple of hours snoozing , as a parcel man was banging on our door at 7.05 this morning with a parcel for next door:mad::mad:.
Hugs for everyone , hope everything is ok.Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
Brilliant day here. Not a cloud in the sky but pretty chilly.
Feeling a bit more energetic today, but going out later so the feeling looks as though it will be wasted. Quick chicken stir fry for lunch and probably jacket potato with something and salad tonight. Not really the temperature for salad but I have some that needs to be used up.
JackieO: I was quite successfully ignoring the swift onset of Christmas, but you just have to ring the panic button don't you?
Hardup Hester: The thing about 'perfect' families is that they can't believe it when their house of cards comes tumbling down. It's very hard for them to accept that they are no better or worse than anyone else.
Julie: I do hope you get your kitchen for Christmas. I have fond memories of my DSIL cooking Christmas lunch for 11 with her oven balanced on a Workmate and the rest of the kitchen in pieces around her. Not that I want to worry you or anything.:rotfl:I believe that friends are quiet angels

Nightmare at work today!
Internet was down and we've not been able to do a single thing!! Luckily it's back up now, and i'm preparing for a busy afternoon.
Going to have to admit defeat also and stick heating on when i get in, OH is in a bad way bless him! Going to get some chicken noodle soup in for him and comfort foods and meds. I didn't really want to go to the shops today but oh well!! Might look for a smaller thermos for him to take soup to work as well as his tea.

Good afternoon all..
Blooming freezing in Kent today...Actually I think that it is colder in home than it is outside!
Decided to put the heating on so went and got £20 on the card came back put it in the meter and it took £13 off for debt!! £1 off for emergency and which gave me £6 for gas! I'm wondering what the £13 debt was for?, would that be the standing charge as I have not put any gas on since march ...Think I am going to have to call them and ask....Really have got to be careful with this and only use it when it is really cold.
Anyway..
Not done much the last few days, DH & DS have both been ill with Man flu so housework & meal plans have not gone to plan but I'm back with it today so just got to sort the last few days of chores out.
Washing is on the line, another load in the WM, DW is on, Just going to start wrapping DS's Christmas presents then I will be making some scones, and filling the biscuit tin up as its looking rather bare.
Hope everyone is having a fab day..... xOctober grocery Challenge

!!!!!!????:eek::eek: I hope the lad realises that he does still have a mum - as she's coming to the school to spend time with him. And tbh, he's best off without a dad than with a rotten t*rd who would say a thing like that. Quite right, he should save the text; it may well come in as evidence, at some point. But he needs to be aware that it's the ravings of an unbalanced (to say the least) person, and not to take the words to heart. As for banning his mum from contacting him.... words totally fail me!!
My thoughts exactly. He knows his 'dad' is only doing it to be hurtful and that he will always have his mum. School are being fantastic concerning him seeing his mum. He is just so frightened his dad will find out she has been to see him and take it out on her. We all know she will be better off without the piece of scum but she has got to find the strength to leave him. I saw her briefly (10mins) and she asked me if I was being serious about helping her , of course I was, if he was to even try to come into my house to get her should she decide to come to mine he is likely to be met with a 8 stone rottie in front of him:eek:.I know woofer is as soft as sh *t but he doesnt. I don't think he would have the balls to come to mine anyway. So hopefully she will start to see that she has places to go to and make that big step to leave him for good, until then all I can do is be there for her and her boy.Court isn't till the beginning of next week.Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0
