The hair just seems to get stuck in all the crevices and it's IMPOSSIBLE to get it all out!
I hate hoovering the stairs too, Instead what I do is use a cat grooming brush to get the hairs up. It gets into all the crevices and deep into the carpet pile to get all the hairs up.
The type of grooming brush I use is the one with metal teeth, its like a little flat paddle thingHTH

I know my house smells doggy - I asked my best friend for the truth and got it! I'd not noticed myself.
I do wash mutt's blankets etc regularly and put zoflora in the rinse so she has a lovely bouquet smell for a couple of days. I reckon its in the carpet though - I get it cleaned occasionally but probably really need to get a new carpet. Which I can't afford. So it's airfresheners and hope people are too polite to comment. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Yeah thats the thing - I moult a lot of hair myself lol But I guess its one of those things I can deal with my own hair but no one elses? And my hair mainly moults on my coat or top or bedroom floor where I brush my hair, but not all over the couch or sofa! Mind you it theres quite a lot in my car...
I just showed DH some pics of labradoodles and cockapoos and he liked both of them so thats good.
Im so not house proud. In fact I'm so not house proud the dog still panics and runs if I ever get the ironing board out lol
I hoover once or twice a week. My dog is allowed on the sofa and bed on the throws ( I don't like him on sheets or on the sofa properly cos he snags it ) and tbh I wouldn't say there is piles of hair.
Cockers don't do the big shedding thing. They kind of do a general fine moult which really doesn't show until its thick - and a twice weekly hoovering keeps on top of it
My worse problem is MUD. Hes a mud magnet and does like to share that about the house so I do have to clean the carpets every couple of weeks0 -
I have to admit to shedding more hair then my cocker spaniel - bathroom and bedroom floor coated daily and the shower and sink need unblocking weekly
Me too, despite having 6 cats and a Yorkie all the hair on my bedroom carpet is mine, especially in the area where I blow dry it.
My cats really don't shed that much indoors, you would never know I had 6. They do spend alot of time running around in bushes though, perhaps there's a hair bush somewhere. The dog doesn't shed at all.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Honestly it proper works for me, can't believe how much better it is than using a hoover on the stairs. Also for small areas of laminate floors (around table legs etc where they seem to walk past all the time) I use one of those rubber mits. The hairs seem to attract to the rubber.0 -

I use the slicker in the stairs as well - always have done. And I use it on the bedroom carpet to lift my hair - much quicker then getting the hoover out0 -

I bought a carpet shampoo - er because Alfie does have a tendency to get a but whiffy at times when his dermatitis flares up. The areas he likes to lie ( outside my office door and the top of the stair) tend to retain the stench ( its really awful ). The carpet machine is a godsend - no more dog smelly house0 -

As they howl in morning, afternoon and evening, for food or at each other or if I am reading a paper they need desperatly to claw at, this offer is sorely tempting.0 -
