TBH if I was your neighbour and I was hearing the thwack against the pipe all night I would be up like a shot complaining

When you live in a communal building ( as I have done many a time with pets) you have to be very conscious of your neighbours and accept they may not be as pet friendly as you

Not having a pop at you - just saying how I would be having to listen to it with no choice

  • Our place is rather clean - the main problem is a small raduis like area around the chinchilla cage. The poop that stays in the cage (because for some reason it doesn't fall through the floor and into the catcher below ) gets flinged out when they want attention, the hay ends up everywhere, they can't bathe in their sand without throwing it everywhere (I swear our girl chin does this to get on our nerves) and their hair clings to everything including the cage! Thankfully it is easy to clean up - hard wood tool on the dyson and a quick going over the area and it is all clean again. We just wish they would wait more than 5 mins before flinging more poo out of the cage because they don't like the hoover .

and there's the problem with people. They'd rather 'be up like a shot complaining' rather than politely letting their neighbours know that the noise travels.

This thread is interesting because my DH would like to get a dog one day, but I have a massive thing about the hair. I could not cope with it being round my house. So he is on a mission to find a non moulting type of dog - any ideas?? The only ones weve come across so far that dont moult much are 'rat' dogs which he does not want lol

Hey, I have two soft coated wheaten terriers, medium sized dog and extremely loveable. They don't moult which is great as my mum is allergic to dogs so these were a great find.

A lot more grooming is involved but 100% worth it
