i think people are just too fussy now.
I have just given away to the scap man 2 tv's i couldnt sell them all because they were not flat screened/lcd/3d. pathetic...
no need for brighthouse at all its just wanting the latest gadgets and products, who cares what the tv looks like as long as it works.
my old sony tv is a good 20 years old and still going strong, i won't be changing it until it dies...0 -
She should go to a charity shop and get a cheap tv from there. Then with the payments she would have made to brighthouse save up for a better tv. Shouldn't take long. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0

I tend to think of Brighthouse as a tax for the stupid. If they cannot be patient enough to work out that saving the payments for just a few months means they could buy their own outright with no ongoing costs then they are asking to get fleeced.Thinking critically since 1996....0

Thank you everyone for your advice.. Whilst a TV is not an essential item I'm sure many of us would be lost without ours I sure as would be. The problem has been resolved my partners brother picked up a very reasonable not modern but does the job TV from cash converters last night for £60 which with all the fee's and charges she had already paid has been covered by that payment (hopefuly they wont mess her about getting those back) Thanks0

Why are you getting rid of them?0 -
Why are you getting rid of them?
i just dont have the space for them, i can't get them in the loft, can't store them anywhere i tried to give away in trade it...
nothing wrong with them and i had to give to the scap man to do as he will with them, a complete waste.. couldnt get them to somewhere like cash converters and they didnt want to pick up...0 -
It's crap that no one would take them. The number of posts on Freecycle asking for 40" Flatscreen Wall Mounted TVs is unbelievable, yet no one is interested in an old CRT one that still works and does more or less the same job.
My brother snapped up my old TV, an old 28" or 30", for playing games on. (almost had my old sofa too, but it wouldn't fit in his room)"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Tbh my freecycle group isnt bad. Once in a blue moon we get someone thinking they'll get away with it. And on one hand i think "cheeky mare" but on the other i think "well i guess you never know unless you ask".
But personally, i might post stating what i would prefer the tv to be above in size, I'd still accept anything that works. Not as if its going to be long term, saves it going to the dump and as the saying goes, one mans tat is another mans treasure (or woman in this case)
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Mine is always full of ridiculous wanteds. Lost count of the number of trampolines asked for during the summer. One even had the cheek to ask for a specific make and model of laptop."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."
