Darn the essay - I'm making gingerbread this weekend. That just looks so good, particularly with your suggested lemon icing, Mrs Chip.:drool::drool::drool:Back after a very long break!0

lizzyb1812 I can't find the letter now but the MP sent my letter to the blokey incharge of it all and I got written confirmation from both him and tv licencing that (and can't remember the exact words)" for the purpose of recieving " if you have a TV installed but do not intend to use it for live TV you do not need a licence. I know some places such as colleges say you have to have one even if you only have a computer but this is not tv rules it is the college.
Even if this is not correct I have it in black and white so if they take me to court what can they say

Mrs Chip and Katie - do I take it you two were Londoners and have now moved?
Cos me too - Londoner for 41 years and now stuck in the middle of a field in the wilds of North Antrim0 -
Yes Suki, both from SE London, and as far as I am concerned, not missing it one bit, I would happily live in the middle of a field anywhere!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

Yep...surrounded by fields here too. Bliss:j

Me too surrounded by fields, all you can hear is bird song....:TWell and my hens when they have just laid...:D0

Me 3! Originally from SW London, then spent a few years in SE London, followed by Maidstone and Stoke-on-Trent before moving to Wales in 2001. And now I too am surrounded by fields. And it's lovely!
I hate going back to London now, it stinks.0 -

it is correct. You can own a television set, a box for viewing DVDS, and playing CDS so you can hear the music, but if you have no aerial attached to it, how can you be using it as a television set, for the purposes of receiving broadcasted transmissions? which is the reason you have to have a licence.0 -
Oh wow ladies
Ive done 6 years now and I cant believe how content I am. Ive gone from everything on tap 24/7 to having to drive 4 miles to the nearest shop and I cant believe how little of my old life I miss
London does stink gigervamp and I cant stand more then two days at a time now, but I still love it and think its the most beautiful City in the world
Luckily I now live in the most beautiful place in the world0
