People are always resistant to change. MSE is so much more than Grabbit. I think 'Grabbit' is overloaded, and other boards where some of these 'Grabbits' could go are stale and underused. If all the food grabbits were in 'food shopping' it would divide things up well. It's not a lot of extra work to look on one extra board.0

Grabbits should be in one place!
Grabbits are fast offers, thats the style of them. Therefore, its better when you can check the board when ur actually in store. Have you tried using the site now on a mobile?? Its impossible to find everything now. I wasnt interested in everything on the grabbit board, but guess what, I just scrolled down to the ones I was interested in....
I think where people are MAYBE getting mixed up is the longer term offers. The tesco Value range, for one. They're longer term grabbits, so should MAYBE go on the shopping thread. I say maybe, i'd prefer not, but trying to compromise. Or even a main TESCO thread, no chat with all the deals in one place. But then Tesco bods would find it easier to correct errors.
I'm actually severely tempted to go over to the dark side (HDUK), so much easier on a mobile.... x0 -

I've no idea. I have come back to these forums after many years absence because I'm currently not able to get work and found that a lot of the confusing posts in the wrong place or off topic or making up their own rules is coming from newer users. Perhaps the MSE forums in certain areas have run their course and people need to look elsewhere for the info that used to be easily found. I think that a lot of people are going back across to Hot UK Deals to snap up bargains. Those who want to have a chit chat with pages of inconsequential drivel are welcome to it. I'm just glad that I have a life even thoughits limited by circumstance at the momentAwaiting a new sig0 -
I find it sad that many people who are struggling on a tight budget may possibly or even DEFINITELY miss out on some great food or grocery grabbits which are not around for long and therefore struggle once again to feed their families etc......

I'm very sympathetic to those who are struggling on a tight budget as I grew up in a very poor environment and only now realise how much my mother and father made sacrifices to give me what many people today would take for granted. I'm not on a very tight budget at the moment but as a relatively new pensioner I try to make money go as far as possible as you never know what will come along to throw you off your finite resources. Hence I try to get some of the offers that are posted at mainly Tesco(except active DTD which I don't agree with- see other posts as I am a Tesco Shareholder) but even I with plenty of time, access 24hrs to a laptop, a car with plenty of fuel and living only a few minutes from a Tesco Extra with 24 hr access don't get many of the offers that are posted. There are a number of possible reasons for this:
1 They are posted assuming that they are nationwide and often they are not so people waste fuel and time looking for them.
2They are often dependant on whether it is an extra, normal, metro or express and it would help if this source were stated. E.G. I have been looking and buying pucka pads at full price(£3.60) when people were posting that they were 45p. It was only latterly that I discovered that it was only in non-extra stores that these prices applied.
3 They seem to be store dependant outside of the type of store.
All in all I'm not so sure that those with the greatest need actually get a lot of the deals on here and perhaps are worse off as a result of chasing them. I suspect its mostly those who have the technology, time and knowhow to access this site whether it be by laptop or internet phone that benefit.
Ther will of course be exceptionsAwaiting a new sig0 -

Artha, you have written in previous posts that you enjoy challenging views and like reasoned discussion therefore this board may well suit you:

The board is called Discussion Time and their are plenty of topics to choose from, where you can post away to your hearts content without upsetting anyone;) I think that some of your posts are far too heavy for a lot of posters here:)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0
