That says that the majority of MSE overall users do not give a damn...

I haven't voted as I want Tesco grabbits on the grabbit board and I want them all in 1 non chat thread by type of deal (misprice, DTD, 1p reduction etc) - this is not an option in your unclear poll.

I want to get home from work and scan through in 1 or 2 pages all the misprices/glitches/DTDs without spending hours wading through piles of chat on 1 thread or 20 different threads of a mixture of glitch and chat. Leaves me no time to get back in the car to go to Mr T.

Yes Tesco people will read it...as they have done since 2004 when I joined up. Having one thread or several threads or a thread "hiding" on the Gone board makes no difference to that at all.

The only way to keep the glitches hidden from Tesco is to set up a secret forum, with a secret address, which a few members have done in the years and invited us regular glitch finders to join. Each one I joined died a death as they inevitably end up reposting what HDUK and MSE have already found.

How does that work, that MSE users don't give a damn?, It proves that so far 704 DO give a damn and have bothered to vote for their grabbits back! And I'm sorry if it was "An unclear poll" but at the end of the day, It was a clear cut poll, either press yes or no. For all of you that are not happy will me posting a poll, their are actually far more that are. At least I bothered to do something about it, rather than just whinging about too many threads on T's or I want this, that or the other.
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

Re-read the sentence you highlighted in bold, especially the word overall. On a Tuesday night at 11pm, there are over 7000 users currently reading the forum. By clicking on the members list, it's easy to see that 518480 are registered as members. 704 clicking yes on your poll is the majority not giving a damn. ;)

The yes and no options are not clear cut at all - it is not a yes and no answer to this one, there are shades of grey.

Post a poll, don't post a poll, I don't really care. The BGs are following the forum teams' requests - the forum is Martins, not the posters who write their finds on it. It is neither your nor my decision to make.

The forum team can see all this information regarding traffic - you can never have the whole picture unless you work in MSE Towers.

I challenge you to stay off MSE completely for 10 hours, then come back on and find all the Tesco bargains and glitches within 30 minutes. It used to be possible 1 year ago with 1 non chat thread for DTD, another non chat thread for 1p reductions, another again for misprices. Try to see how some of us have to trawl through the 100s of posts of chat with an odd glitch thrown in here and there, or finding new threads that start in the time we don't have internet access. May help to see the other side of the coin in a practical way.

bylromarha you keep going on about Tesco grabbits, well this isn't just about Tesco grabbits, it's about grabbits from any company that are/have been moved to various different forums and threads making them much harder to find.

The poll is asking if members would prefer grabbits to be put back/posted on the grabbit board instead of all over the place.

It's not really when nikkilala is posting a link to it on every thread where she knows she will get support. Added to which, as flowmeter has explained, the title of the poll is wholly misleading.

Unfortunately I would guess that any efforts made by the MSE Team to get a balanced view on this situation will be sabotaged by nikkilala et al, as they seem to be taking over every thread on the subject.

A grabbit is a grabbit is a grabbit, however much some people hate Tesco. Under the logic that puts Tesco opportunities under groceries, absolutely anything can or should be posted under another thread. No-one will find them, but hey, the grabbit board is uncluttered, so that's a result.
    Hope is not a strategy.

Bit bendy with the truth there i think. Only registered members can vote on polls. That 7000 figure is the amount of people viewing the forum overall, whether that be search engine spiders or non registered people, or members.

At 12:25am it is: Currently Active Users: 3377 (550 members and 2827 guests)

440 of that 3377 are currently viewing the Grabbit board. So lets say 1/5 of those are registered members, that's around 88 registered members currently viewing the Grabbit board.

Yes it's late at night, but i think your post implied that 7000 people could potentially vote on the poll, which is just not true. And as for 518k registered members, how many of those are active users of Grabbit? In fact how many of those have even visited MSE at all in the last 12 months. Probably not even half.

Not aimed at anybody in particular but numbers can be used to back up any point you are trying to make.

However 100% of the members who have voted on the poll have an interest in the subject. :D

At this moment in time a total of 754 members who are interested have voted.

714 members 94.69% have voted ..Yes.
40 members, 5.31% have voted ..No.

I'd be totally happy with a board purely for Tesco stuff BUT I fear the board guides would then have a conundrum. Do they post a tesco grabbit on the tesco board or the grabbit board? It'll just become muddled again. Tesco deals/misprices/glitches/clearance etc is a huge subject and imo deserves its own dedicated area but ONLY if everything tesco related goes in there and doesn't get posted everywhere else instead.

It wouldn't be a problem if Tesco sorted out their
    problem
and then there would be nothing to post about. However Tesco don't actually have a problem despite the multitude of posts on here that suggest that. It is a perceived problem that if it were a real consumer issue would have featured in the press regularly

I rest my case - there is no hope of a balanced discussion with your railroading tactics.

I agree. I have tried to engage in reasoned discussion on various subjects that have been started by other people but when it gets too hot to handle, or people don't just glibly roll over, the shutters go up and you are accused of being a troublemaker

  • I didn't want to just e-mail the forum team directly which is why I posted the ''why have all the grabbits moved here'' :-( thread..

I wanted others to voice their opinions too on the matter and within a couple of days it shows that a MAJORITY of people who use / enjoy / post great deals on the grabbits ARE very UPSET by the moving of valid threads!

So I didn't want to do it in secret by simply sending the forum team a private e-mail ( am still happy to do that though ) but this affects MANY people and many BUSY people at that too

I find it sad that many people who are struggling on a tight budget may possibly or even DEFINITELY miss out on some great food or grocery grabbits which are not around for long and therefore struggle once again to feed their families etc......

I knew NOTHING about the £1 mince grabbit , still can't find it anywhere and really haven't got the time to look around for it and the beauty of the grabbit forum WAS that everything was in one place , easy to find and very easy to use and it is no longer ''user friendly'' on MSE since , yes , I'll say it again someone HAS been over zealous in moving food grabbits which are genuine real grabbits whether from Tesco , Asda , Lidl or whichever supermarket those who are finding it TOUGH during the recession try and shop to save as much money as possible to feed themselves and their families , and haven't got the time or inclination to hunt / look around everywhere for the deals when it used to be so easy ...:happyhear

''I used to love the grabbits , and post there very often ,

But if you do , it gets removed , not SEEN lest gone , forgotten!''
