Have been to the Shrewsbury store, got there just after it opened and there were only 6 or so of us in the toy aisle! I managed to spend £103, saving £103 haha....altho i thought it was good enough, a friend wasnt impressed, so i guess it all depends on what ur looking for?
They had quite a few of the small lego cars for £2.49 and £1.99. Some Mickey Mouse toys, and also some really scary looking baby born with a dog! Most of the Lego is gone now tho.
I got the Hello Kitty cool cardz DD1 has wanted for over a yr too!
    Mummy to 3 beautiful GIRLS, 9, 7 and 3, :D and a handsome lil BOY 03.03.12 :T
  • Well got a few bits this morning, to be honest it was a bit dissapointing. Didnt get my dd her magic hair barbie she wants, but got her password journel. Got few bits of lego, sylvanian figures, squinkies gumball machine, walking kitty and gator golf. Had quite a few people in there this morning filling up trollies, didnt see enough to buy to fill one. Nowhere near as good as last year. Hope others got what they wanted.

Just go back from Ladbroke Grove Sainsburys, weren't busy at all, was really nice a chance to look at everything, I was only going for stocking fillers so picked up a barbie (£2.49), Animal squirters bath toys (£1.75), Bath time wind up (£1.00) and then as present fillers for my nephew Car squirter bath toys (£1.75) & a really great police set got a police van, car and helicopter all a good size (£1.49).

My mum got a Disney princess Tiana wet doll (£9.99), Sainsburys electronic activity book (£6.50), Sainsburys Apple Letter pad (£5.99) and a sainsburys steering wheel (£7.49).

A few things I did notice but didn't buy personally a huge firetruck which can be controlled from the fire ladder (£34.99), they had the dancing mickey, frustration (£5.99), connect four (£5.99), everything's rosie best friend doll (£9.99).

Nope plan B failed as well lol. Other half has left his mum with a list of a couple of things that my monster has asked for and will try and get up there after work.
Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.
  • Just back from Emerson Greens, agree with chunkychocky, it was heaving. I got there just before the store opened (6am) and had expected to be one of the first there, sadly there were about 200 ahead of me! People were queuing from 5am!!! Got what I wanted although the best stuff went within minutes. It felt like being at car boot sale!
  • OH just got back from Oldham and Ashton stores, got loads, Mickey Mouse, Megabloks, Disney cars Lego, Barbie Charm doll, Disney princess, Nerf guns, baby goodies and lots of play dough. One very happy mummy spent £123 saved £123. :-)
