I knew it was but my husband insisted it was the same *sigh*
Hopefully they will bring out more for the sale because I am not convinced that any other store nearby is going to have a significant amount of toys to justify that kind of journey.0 -
I work for sainsbobs and most stores will be getting extra toys and put them on the end aisles we dont know what we will get extra till it arrives a day or 2 before. White rose last year got more in than they normally have , they know this is a big event so they try and cater for it hope this helps you.0

Last years sainsburys sale was a nightmare, they actually took some toys out of my trolley while I was not looking:rotfl: this year I have reinforcements, I know last year they blocked the aisles at either end and everytime the SA went to the stock room to bring more crates of toys through, she got followed and when she went to unlock the crate everyone that was anyone was getting their hands in, so she gave up and let them:rotfl: no point trying to stack the shelves:rotfl:
There was also a lull in toys if I remember, we had to wait around for a long time until it was restocked.
This year they say the sale is lasting 2 weeks, last year was only one....
Still highly recommend to get there on the first day as soon as possible, check store openings:D0 -
Yes, last year they brought in extra stock on the end of isles, middle of isles, Seasonal Isle and backfilled when the halloween stock sold out .
Disappointingly they did not carry the same range in all stores and the exta deliveries coming in again did not necessarily replace what was there at the beginning or introduce new items, so a bit of a lottery. I managed to get some Lego last year which was fantastic but even half price you realise how overpriced it is (for bits of plastic, but there is value in the quality and the satisfaction of building the models ... and the kids enjoyed it too).
Fingers crossed the reports of this sale are true, they have an influx of stock and that it is online as well to save hassle ... remember Argos 3 for 2 sale is on until the end of tomorrow so if there are specific things you are looking for it may be worth getting in there tomorrow (keep your receipt and don't mess with the packaging - you have 28 days or so to return them if a better sale comes along!).

Last year I went to a very large store about 4 hours after opening and it was carnage metres and metres of empty shelves, animals oops sorry customers empting cages, and toys and cardboard boxes all over the floor, trolleys were piled high and there was loads of screaming kids, it was awful and impossible to know the prices as nothing was on the shelves.AKA: PC
