Does anyone know if the Sainsburys at Wakefield has a large toy department?
I went to Edenthorpe last year and after paying a visit there yesterday the toy section seems to have shrunk.
Thanks x0 -
My nearest large store is 45 minutes away, my husband is working thursday and i can't take the kids (or they will want everything now instead of x-mas), trying to find a baby sitter
Does anyone know if any sylvanian families of Bakugan will be in the sale, last year they had the sylvainin windmill, was wondering if anything similar will be in the sale this year??0 -

For those that ventured out at midnight last year, were the shelves full of stock? My nearest 24 hour store is a 30 min drive away and I'm thinking of going at midnight to get it out of the way, leave dh and kids in bed. I don't want to do it though if they haven't got the full selection out, any info would be great - thank you!
as its all toys that go in the sale, then anything that they normally have on the shelf is what the stock will be - so depending on how well the staff keep the shelves restocked will have a bearing on what is available at that time of night
they do usually have some large end of aisle toys that they bring in specially for the sale, but these dont always get put out first thing, it all depends on what order the staff stock the shelves in
the only thing i have found in previous years is that the sale signs arent up, so you have to be prepared to buy the stuff and hope that the sale prices have kicked in
i hate my local sainsburys though, as they dont have a stockroom (someone in their wisdom thought that it was dead space, so stuff gets delivered to store and straight out onto the shelves). so once something is sold out on the shelf in the store, there isnt anymore out back for them to replenish with. means that if something is on offer, by midday the shelves are stripped bare. which is bad enough when its toys, but when its a loaf of bread you are after, it means you cant even do a basic shop late in the day - 24hr shopping my @rse

I popped in to kempston this afternoon and had a quick scope of the toys and there is a lot less now than there used to be. There was a fair bit of Zhu Zhu, barbie, my little pony, Bakugan, sainsbury's own brand toys like a little microwave, toddler toys, not nearly as much lego as last year, about 3 sylvanian things, a few board games. Not sure if they'll put more out for the sale though or not. Last year they had loads of Toy story toys but unless they clear a section i've no idea where they will put things?0

Do they bring in toys special for the event or have a wide variety all the time? Just asking because online it doesn't mention they even have a toy range. I know I won't make it there before Thursday to check it as it is a bit out of the way. Was going to go all the way to the wirral side as the upton and ellesmere port were the only ones I know of that for sure have toys. This will be the first year I can make it to the sale so looking foward to it but bit worried about being dissapointed in not finding anything too.0 -
