  • Last year I went to a very large store about 4 hours after opening and it was carnage metres and metres of empty shelves, animals oops sorry customers empting cages, and toys and cardboard boxes all over the floor, trolleys were piled high and there was loads of screaming kids, it was awful and impossible to know the prices as nothing was on the shelves.
This was my experience last year too! Wish they still did the full sale online, loved that thread leading up to midnight, was such a laugh.
    Internet earnings:
    Swagbucks - £748
    InstaGC -£73
    Nielsen Mobile - £70
    Mobile Trends - £19.50
    iPoll - £15
  • I've been told by someone that works at sainsburys that sale starts thursday ... but ... I went into my local sainsburys and saw a manager looking sainsbury's staff in the toy aisle filling up a trolly with who I assume was his wife ... now does this mean he hasn't seen all the posters in the warehouse telling him the sale starts thursday or does it mean that workers get to put toys by out back so that they can get their bargains sorted ? Not that I mind as it's the perks of the job and all that ... just wondered...

Also our local normally only has one side of an aisle of toys but they have the otherside of the aisle with empty shelves at the moment that someone was filling with toys already (there was loads of elefun and lego)

Does anyone know if this is going to be online ? (just in case I already have my basket waiting and have made sure that my card details and address are right - could I be any more organised:T)

Just buy at full price day b4 sale them return on sale day and get a resell. Sorted if this is permitted, i know it has been at other stores?

sorry for my stupidity but whats a resell ? and isn't it a bit risky not knowing if its permitted in the store that you happen to be using ?

Do they bring in toys special for the event or have a wide variety all the time? Just asking because online it doesn't mention they even have a toy range. I know I won't make it there before Thursday to check it as it is a bit out of the way. Was going to go all the way to the wirral side as the upton and ellesmere port were the only ones I know of that for sure have toys. This will be the first year I can make it to the sale so looking foward to it but bit worried about being dissapointed in not finding anything too.

They have a good variety all the time hun , ive been goin past 3 year's always got everythin ive needed there hun , thes 4/5 aisle's plus two as u walk in xxxx

A wide range all the time, and restocked constantly throughout the days :)

Can anyone remember what time this goes live on the internet? I am sure I remember people staying up past midnight but it didnt come on-line until later? I am planning on a trip to the store but our "bigger" branch doesnt open until 8am so thought I could sneak a few things on line just in case;)

Anyone know if the mere green sainsburys is any good for toys? Castle vale was just one long aisle last year and it was packed! And someone nicked my trolley!

I don't think the half price sale happened on line last year did it? I seem to remember waiting then being disappointed.

It wasn't really online last year, it was a big, and quite funny, anti climax!! There were a few items that went half price online at midnight but hardly any. Certainly not the way is was done 2 years ago, I got loads online then.

No not on-line last year i waited up until 3.00am. My store only has a tiny, toy part. That only sells small bits. So was very p***ed off. That is why i am trying to find out if it is worthwhile travelling. Was thinking maybe York?
