My friend is in a 'win win' situation, but then again so am I. (there's a couple of pints in it for me if there are no developments), & I don't make rash promises I don't intend to keep.

I undertake to up-date your thread in the event that there be any such adverse developments, but don't hold your breath, 'it aint gonna happen', & I'm getting thirsty in anticipation of the certain eventual outcome.

Ah, but you could be waiting a very long time for your pints. After all, how do you know when there are no further developments? I hope you set a time contraint to this bet, e.g. no further correspondence for 6 months, othewise you could carry on getting thirsty!

  • Got the next one. If I had five days to pay before, three weeks ago, how can I still have five days to pay, huh?

    I'm not enjoying this, though.

Hang on in there, it will soon be over and they will give up.

You are making our point for us. When the "deadline" expires without you paying, they don't take any action- they just set another deadline. If you miss this one, in three weeks' time they will come back with another "deadline". Then, they will realise that they are wasting their money since you aren't going to cave in, and they will go away.

If they had the ability to take it to court, they undoubtedly would have done by now; but they don't have the ability to enforce their ludicrous demands in law, so they just have to keep threatening until a) you panic and cave in or b) they realise you're not going to.

Hang on in there, you WILL get a feeling of great satisfaction when you beat these robbers.
  • Ok.... we're on what looks from the letters thread as though it should be the last one today. I *know* what they're doing and I *know* I should be cool about it, but they are !!!!!!!s the way they start using words like bailiff and courts..... not surprising people cave and pay - part of me wants to tbh.

They have never done court as far as I am aware, not that you need to worry about that, it will never get there providing you just follow the advice of ignore the scammers and their bog paper letters.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

The only time TCP will ever see the inside of a courtroom is if Trading Standards finally decide to do something about the lying so-and-sos.... or when someone has enough of their bull and sues them for harassment. (I've been trying to get a ticket, but I just don't have your luck, they never seem to have anyone on duty when I park!)

Do you think they would just keep writing if they actually had some alternative course of action available??

Relax, they do not do Court, just threats.

This will end soon, maybe this is the last one as you say or maybe they will send it again in a month! Either way they are running out of templates if our top thread is correct (it usually is!).

  • It's been another five days..... and nothing. Bit concerned about the new court letters in the sticky though! I'm so sick of this - despite all the best advice and logic, it's not nice wondering about the post every day.
