hello all
have done bu99er all todayjust felt like chatting. ds is in the process of pulling 'his bits' off and making them rather sore in the meantime. boys eh? the nursery have mentioned about his pronounciation. i dont have any trouble understanding him but they do. they have asked if they can get some advice on how tohelp him with his pronounication. seeing him with his friends today realised that compared to them he does soUnd quite bad. they've no worries about what he says. he talks in sentances etc. he will say dwump instead of jump, bluem for blue etc.
part of me thinks he is only two and half and had glue ear on and off since a baby but has been discharged from the audiology not that long ago. but then if its going to be the start of a problem then i guess it should be helped sooner rather than later. oh what to do!
anyway hope everyone is well"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
Loulou: What is all this? He is two and a half for goodness sake. Still a baby. At two and a half one of mine could have given the Reith Lecture and the other one conversed in words of one syllable. They evened out in the end. I do not understand this panic to get children to the same place at the same time. It puts intolerable pressure on parents, and is completely unnecessary. Life is complicated enough without adding to it.
As you can tell, I am very, very old and have seen it all. Just love your little one, flower, time for speech therapy in 2 or 3 years, not now. Let him just enjoy being a child.
Will go and look out my trusty shield, there are bound to be brickbats coming my way.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Thank you for your kind comments about my DD & SIL, SIL is having his medication changed which has caused the flare up & so he has missed a few days at work, hopefully it will settle down soon.

Evening all.
Been hibernating al daydidnt feel much.like talking, or seeing anyone and the weather is beyond awful.
Lou as you know, I agree with monnagram, there is also the fact the you are deaf, and so not correcting him possibly as much as someone with full hearing would .tell them to do one, as I told you a few weeks ago. Well, I might have said it in slightly stronger terms I think
Flutterby, I am going to miss you when you go, although I am not posting much, I am reading every day, and enjoy your posts.
Have a nice evening all.

Today is my weekly shopping day. I take a while to get started in the mornings so did not set off until 11am. Took till nearly 2pm to get finished. Looking for bargains is time consuming. I don't tend to do much else on shopping days except for making tea/dinner. Tonight I used the bolognese left over from Friday, added kidney beans, chilli and more veg to make chilli con carne for 4.Weight loss 0/2st

louloo.. it might be worth getting the nursey to log there concerns and take all the help offered as when we needed it there were loads of groups up to age 5 and then it all stoped and we had to get speach thaerpy on his statement or pay for it ourselves.
Is your son being considered for grommets as they helped alot because if he could hear the word correctly he will be able write the word correctly because my son mixed up K and C and this was written as fhis etc0
