Morning All,
Just popped in to say hello, & to spread some hugs, spoons & hi5's where needed.
Problems here of the teenage boy variety which are affecting the whole family are not making for a happy household& involve a meeting at the school this week & it's not even half term yet  Once again his solution is to threaten to go & live with his dad rather than try & work things out & I just don't have the energy to deal with it all at the moment. Will however try & get hold of said dad today & see if we are on the same page at least.
Hope you all have a good week x

Morning all!
Had a lovely day yesterday, went over to a friend's house and we watched a movie - we used to hang out all the time, but he got a girlfriend at the start of the year, so has been too in love with her to hang out with me! The honeymoon period seems to be over, and we're hanging out more again.
OH and I then watched Downton before heading to bed.
I was awake at 5am this morning and should have got up as it was a real struggle to get out of bed at 6am like i had planned, ended up getting out of bed at 7:20!
Got to go to the bank to pay in some money and cheques today, am home at lunch to see the pup, so will have a tin of soup for lunch. Roast for dinner that we didnt bother making yesterday!

Morning All,
Cold but bright here, DH and DS2 have gone off to work and just about to push DS3 out the door. You can tell its almost half term, he gets slower and slower at getting ready.
Forgot to pull the huge piece of pork out the freezer last night so that is currently defrosting in the microwave.
Need to shower and wash my hair this morning before going to our local library and pop into the four charity shops there, then back to do some ebaying. Anything I make at the moment will be added to the new kitchen fund:D
Suzybloo Have you tried crocheting around in a circle and doing squares (IYKWIM) or carrrying on and doing a big blanket. I can go around and around but not crochet in rows for some reason:rotfl:it does limit what I make but I still enjoy it!

Morning all
Jaxx, that sounds like me a year or so ago. We had real problems with the eldest which involved school issues and he was a nightmare at home. I'm happy to report that he is now 16 and calmed down so much from what he was at 12-15. I used to spend nights in tears because it felt so hopeless
I am divorced from his father too (and he wasn't helpful) and he used the 'I hate you, I want to go live with dad' too.....which really hurts. This was usually when he was angry. I just let him know that whatever his behaviour was I still loved him to bits and eventually it passed.
I know none of that helps you right now, just wanted to let you know that you are not alone, and light at the end of the tunnel is possible. Good luck and hugs
I think I might go into the town centre today since husband is not working a lot of hours. Big thing for me since I have anxiety issues and the outdoors (never mind the busy town centre) is a scary place much of the time, but I'm not going to beat it by hiding from it, so wish me luck please
Otherwise I have a bomb site of a house to clean up - eldest was away this weekend doing a street dance class, but it was cold and the younger ones didn't want to play out so much.
Dinner tonight, meat/gravy/veg I think.
Have a good day all!Proud to be dealing with my debts :T

Hi everyone - cool but sunny here and it looks as if it will end up being warm again by mid-morning. It was lovely yesterday but I think it's all supposed to be changing by Wednesday.
Hester - can your DD's husband get any benefits? After all, it's no his fault that he has arthritis. You're a lovely mum to be helping them out with food.
Suzybloo and Julie - I second what Bargainbird has suggested re the crochet. There are loads of really good tutorials online.
Well, today I've already sorted out the washing and will peg it out in a minute. I've swept and mopped the floors downstairs, and cleaned the bathroom, and I just have to prep the veg for tonight's dinner, which will be Stovies. Oh, and the dough is rising for the bread; I just have to knock it back then put it in the tins to rise again. Apart from that, I might do the ironing; but, then again, I might not!
I hope you all have a good day and hugs to all those who are unwell or anxious.

Good Morning Everyone! Well, fairly lazy w/e here as still feeling the effects of the time-lag. Seems much worse than when we were younger! Another downside to getting older! have stripped DS's bed and the WM is on. Am determined to "forget" there's a tumble drier in the garage until really essential. Doesn't look too bad outside so will hang out first, then finish off in conservatory if necessary. Have cleaned all the mirrors, glass surfaces and the TV and stand, so at least some surfaces are shiny now!
Having picked so many tomatoes last week DH wants gazpacho for lunch so will need to get that done soon. Told him a good warming tomato soup would be more appropriate, but no dice!
Karren, your mew cloth sounds great - I nearly bought the cupcakes one too a few weeks back, but settled on lemons instead! Has really brightened up the kitchen and makes me smile!
Hester - well done to you. You feel so helpless when you see your kids going through hard times, don't you? So it's natural to want to help out where possible - I'm sure they'll really appreciate it.
Mollie, glad you feel a bit more positive today - but I don't like the sound of that bruise. Hope your doctor can help.
Well, I'd best crack on and get some more cleaning done whilst the mood is still on me! Hope you all have a goood day. Take care whatever you're up to.Resolution:
