  • Hello everyone

Please can I join in again? I have had an awful few months but I am at home again following surgery on my knee but now feel able to start again.

My terrible year started last November when kids lost their Grandmother then their father died in May and I found it really hard to organise the funeral but they were doing exams. Then Mum has been diagnosed with bowel cancer and has recently been rushed into hospital with a blocked bowel and ended up in ITU. Also had to organize and take two teenagers to Uni (why did they want to go to the other end of the country?) Whilst this was going on I have moved house to a bungalow which is great as no stairs but still not finished clearing the other house yet and still cant drive after surgery. So it has been stressful and I have to say the house really suffered.

So I am in the new house but have not even cleaned all of the kitchen cupboards so I am glad it is the kitchen tomorrow.

    Take it easy!

And, seeing as I moved into a new place this time last year, what I can say about the cat is that it's best to spend as much time outside as possible and the odds are the cat will follow you. Mine are pains to get in now, having spent a lot of time refusing to come downstairs, then not leaving the house.

I am here but am still struggling time to post or fly as I used to. The house is tidy and DH and I have cleaned through each week, when we work together it only takes an hour, although there is a lot still to unpack so it may not always be this easy. He has his 2nd week of half term this week and I have most of the week off too so not much flying will be done, this is the most time we will have spent together since our honeymoon and I intend to make the most of his company rather than flying. It is mum's 60th this week and after all the worry of a few months ago I have organised a surprise do for her which most of her family is coming to so that is my main focus this week too.

Thanks for the lists, I am still collecting them to tick off even though I am not here for long enough to post. I hope everyone is well, please take any hugs or spoons if they are needed, DH and I are relaxing so have plenty to give away xxx

    Hello

Thanks to all at FCC for your sterling work

Welcome Back to Hellyboo and methekids

and I would like to send my congratulations to Royal Wootton Bassett - well earned IMO - must mean so much to the families and friends of those being repatriated to RAF Lyneham to see their loved ones 'welcomed home' with such respect.

Please can I join in? I am new this week :j
Hubby and I both work long hours and commute so house tends to get into a proper state by the weekend, by which time we're both too tired to do anything much about it so the house has got into a proper state - both clutter and not being cleaned often enough :(

So I'm going to try & spend about 15 mins each morning before I go to work on the Flylady list, to try and get/keep on top of things. I think my mindset is that I always think "it's going to take hours to get this place clean and tidy" when actually it's just going to take a lot of small and constant steps...so glad to find a place of support :)

Thanks very much for the thread pigpen and toots.

Well I'm going to try again, I really enjoyed it last time especially the HHC's so will be back with it tomorrow. Really need to get sorted by the time baby comes, and the house is an absolute tip.
